Perceptual disturbances - ugh

Hey,

 

Just venting and reporting all sorts of weird 3D perceptual distortions. They are very much like what I recall from mushrooms in a former, younger, risk-seeking life - bending and warping. I also have shimmering waves in the periphery of my vision.

 

Anybody have this?? All of it adds up to a world that seems far away and not inhabited by me. Surreal and bizarre.

 

GAH! I know this is benzo-brain, but gads this is disturbing and messed up.

 

Your stories appreciated. I will get through this... Saturday was almost normal. But now the world is flipped out again. It's exhausting to deal with.

I have that, i know exactly what your talking about as I did LSD and mushrooms when I was young (over 20 years ago) Its derealization, well thats what I think it is, did a lot of reading on DR, scary and annoying symptom, but suppose to be harmless, none the less I hate it! I get times when its worse than others

(as I'm typing this the room seems more dark or colorful hard to explain and I get traces of colours from lights and even the computer, my head feels tight)

Hang in there this comes and goes for me and from what I have read it will go eventually!

It will pass, brain will heal... give it time, you need to be off the V completely for real healing to clear the wd symptoms... it will happen.

Perceptual distortions are Vertigo and Derealization together, this will pass.

I still have them sometimes. Walls lean, Feels like you are sideways, and so on.

Thanks Buddies, yes I know this is benzo-brain, but it's somewhat alarming because I keep getting wave after wave. So this episode may pass hopefully tomorrow, but I bet I have another by week's end. Ugh. Oh and I have tinnitus like a wee banshee.

 

What a journey, what a messed-up unauthorized and unsolicited Mr. Toads Wildass Ride through hell.

 

Anybody try flumazenil for benzo wd sfx?
