Stinging and Burning: Have You had It Go Away?

I have much stinging and burning in my back.  It has been going on for a long time.

 

Has anyone ever had the stinging and burning totally go away?

 

Does it only happen when one is completely off of a benzo or does it stay with you for months to years afterwards?

 

I am stuck at 1.5mgs of "Clono", btw.

I have had the stinging burning sensation all over my body for almost two years.  It is about the only symptom that doesn't want to give in.  I also feel hot a good deal of the time - especially after eating or doing any physical exercise.  The stinging burning has gotten better over the past 2 - 3 months.  I have been using passionflower for the past month and that has helped.  It was bad enough at one point that I had to put a prescribed ointment on my lower legs and chest to calm them down enough so I could sleep.  I haven't had to use that for about 3 - 4 months.  So things are slowly getting better, but it's been a long haul for me.

Yowl - How long were you taking clonazepam? I was taking clorazepate for 17 years on an as needed basis.  Paresthesia
