[Bi...]
I should have known better on a sour stomach. I ate some chicken and crab rangoons, and it gave me a surge. It made my stomach sour. I cannot help but eat at this time. Anyone else eat Chinese Foods? I asked if there was MSG, and they said no. this has put more acid in my stomach. Anyone have acidic issues as well? Thanks, Billy. I do know not to eat sugar glazed donuts, as this really got me.
[...]
Hi all. I am off the restaurant food. I make everything at home so I can monitor what is in it. I use Gaviscon often. I will be starting prilosec tomorrow. Good Luck! Bear
[An...]
Hmm Billy I'm not too sure you can believe there's no MSG - if they've bought the food in as opposed to making it fresh there possibly is some in it. MSG always makes me hyper - I discovered my allergy way before benzotime. Hope you feel better now. Angel xx
[sh...]
I'm very hesitant with what I get when eating Chinese food. I usually stay away from anything fried, or stuff that isn't on the diet menu (it's suppose to have no MSG). I know how you're feeling, though. My stomach was kinda off when I first jumped, but is slowly improved.

I did eat chinese food once during it, when I was actually able to eat again and I had chicken lo mein (sp) and my heart jumped to 120 soon after and I ended up throwing it up. Digestive upset in withdrawal is also very common.

I didn't get too much of a flare like I thought. It gave me a rush. Thanks, Billy. I have heard that just because they tell you no MSG does not mean there isn't. I have been going to this restaurant since I moved here in 2008. I can't eat shrimp at all. I never could too much. It feels like pressure building up in it. Thanks for letting me know it goes. I should have known better on a sour stomach. I ate some chicken and crab rangoons, and it gave me a surge. [Wi...]
Billy, If it wasn't MSG, another thing you might consider is that if you have issues with sugar (I don't know if you do or not), since many of the products used in Chinese food are simple carbs (rice, corn starch, sauces, batter (fried foods)), which convert into sugar in the body, maybe that might be what triggered things? WWWI Thanks, I eat sugar off and on now. I did while tapering. I have backed off some. I still dig into sugar every now and then. I stay with a roommate, and he keeps sugary stuff around. I must confess I sneak and do it 'cause he knows it revs me up. I get a bit anxious, but I can't help but eat it sometimes. I'm also a bit afraid of my sugar getting low, since diabetes runs in my family. One side of the family, it gets too high, the other, too low. Billy. [Wi...]
Billy, My suggestion may have absolutely nothing to do with what rev'd your symptoms, was just a WAG (wild ass guess). Even if it was a trigger, it's not a life or death issue, just something to consider. Hopefully you have begun to de-rev some WWWI
