[Al...]
Hello there, I'd like to introduce myself, I was on Lexotan (Bromazepam) for about 2 months for anxiety and was abusing alcohol prior to that for about 1 year.. I followed that with a CT withdrawal which was a rollercoaster ride for about 13 months, after which I started to feel myself again. Emboldended by my progress, I made the mistake in having one pint of beer one night, and felt extremely odd and not the typical intoxicating effect you would normally get. This was followed by a severe set-back which I am in the midst of right now for the past 1 month, a significant flare up of old symptoms, as though I turned back time to about 6 months ago. I'd like to hear more about others' experiences and thoughts on their journeys, and am willing to provide support of required. Thanks all Alan
[St...]
Hi Alan, welcom to BenzoBuddies Some people have a problem with alcohol, especially after withdrawal from benzos. Alcohol acts on the same receptors so it goes to reason that you might feel a setback. I'm sorry you flared up again, hopefully things will return to normal soon. I'm sure you find a lot of feedback on this subject. Make yourself at home and let us know if you have any questions. Star
