Anxiety???

I was wondering if anybody experiences anxiety without any physical symptoms??? I have this uneasy feeling alot of the time... my heart never races but i feel fear or like something bad is about to happen... and i get very strange / disturbing thoughts. Its very weird... it just kind of hangs with me and then i cant stop thikning about it and all kinds of negative thoughts and bad thoughts just bombard my mind. It just goes away on its own but sometimes it stays for hours... I was just looking for some input to see if anybody else feels like i do. praying for everybody!

I think this is quite a common issue- I get it quite a lot. A fear without any external reason and at times it can prevent me from doing things that are so everyday. I have my own set of anxieties, like all people. In the past, when I felt that way, I knew the source (about to get on a plane, about to do something at work causing me stress....). With this, I just can't. It comes and goes though and will ease up, I'm sure.

 

Also, when it happens it affects thinking which becomes quite anxious. This then reinforces anxious feelings and you get into a cycle. If you are able to distract yourself, even a little, this may help.

Thanks for your reply... it just is no fun to have this dreadful feeling for no good reason at all!!! it makes me feel like i am crazy... i know its w/d because i have never had any problems prior to taking benzos... We will heal... just gonna take TIME!!! This is one way to learn patience... something i have never been good at!

I had this at the start of my taper, it was a feeling of utter dread that just came over me... since i hit 4mgs V i have had a return of some of the same fear but MUCH less intense... it´s more of a nagging feeling something bad is going to happen. I am holding at the moment and am proceeding VERY slowly when i do.

I get pressure build up with tightness and pain in my chest. Sometimes its hard to take a full breath. I get a little jittery too. I don't have this all the time but enough to make me not like it at all.

 

I don't get any intrusive thoughts, thank goodness.

Yes, I get the same feeling.  I know it is the withdrawal.  It usually happens between my doses.
