I am a new member here. My situation is that I have been using benzos for almost 20 years now, mainly for insomnia (zopiclon, temazepam) but also for fears and panic (xanax/alprazolam). I am 43 years old and I don't feel good anymore about taking so many pills all the time and my doctor wants me to stop as well, so I am looking for some support, and of course I also hope that I can be of help to other people here.

Hi Chompy, I have taken benzos for a long time too, Temazepam and Ativan for insomnis, you have come to the right place for lots of support, I am now tapering Temazepam using a simple liquid titration method, slowly reducing your dosage is the best way to proceed and also imforming your Dr of your plan, all the best Ladygrace

A slow taper 10% cuts every 2 weeks is how i did it, have you read the ashton manual?
