Is anyone close to being off near the 23 month. I am really suffering and maybe those off that long could pm me with how you feel now. I don't want to post here to scare anyone because everyone heals at a different rate. I am getting very worried. Thanks Angel

I have been off a long time as you can see and still have the same symptoms as jeff, plus a few more that just seem to wax and wane. I just try to ignore them and carry on with life such as it is. I guess I just keep thinking that it could be worse, because I remember the beginning and it was alot worse.

Hang in there and just keep chugging along, sooner or later we will all get there. Dub

The only thing different in my meds are lexapro instead of effexor. The buspar does take the edge off the nerve endings but does give you headaches. My worse thing is the severe muscle tightness and pressure everywhere in my body.

Everybody heals at their own rate but i keep hearing that of all the benzos K is the hardest to recover from...i am 14 months off Valium and still having lots of nasty issues, mostly related to insomnia, anxiety, pounding heart and lower back muscle tightness....horrible stuff.  It is not uncommon to take upt to three years to heal so dont think that there is something wrong with you...it happens.  This is a very very serious condition that should not be underestimated.

I am considering oing to the doctor for a beta blocker to control my heart action.

Sleep is very unreliable and can affect the next day in a big way.  Waves occur...sometimes they last a day or two and sometimes that are the whole month.....

It is important that you understand the nature of the beast and know the cruel truths of benzo withdrawal recovery so you dont get disenchanted and give up....just stay the course and eventuallty in time you will get better....it is just a very long road for some of us....

Andy
