Anyone have a EMG or Nerve Conduction Tests ?

I had a bilateral emg test on my arms to see if I had nerve damage while I was on benzos.  I had neck and shoulder surgery and was still having shoulder pain. All results were normal, and I believe the pain was due to tolerance withdrawal and interdose withdrawal from benzos.  I seem to have less pain now, my sxs are more muscle twitching and internal tremors which really are not painful, just irritating. I have been dx'd with everythings from peripheral neuralgia to post laminectomy syndrome and was offered injections.  They are barking up the wrong tree, its just wd and I believe my system will reset itself.

I had nerve conduction tests.  Everything normal except the doctor said he'd never tested anyone with such sensitive nerves - they work all right.  For me it was benzo related.  Paresthesia

I had an MRI, nerve conduction test, blood work, gait test, etc.  They all came back normal and it took me a while to figure out it was the Klonopin.  None of the doctors could explain my symptoms, but said there was nothing wrong with me neurologically.

Had nerve conduction test and EMG yesterday. Nothing abnormal. Abrubty stopped xanax and ambien 3 years ago and developped strand tingling sensations. Had MRI and other tests which were done because symptoms are similar to the of MS. Tingling condition persisted for several months and I ended up at a pain clinic and wound up back on xanax plus hydrocodone. Fast forward 3 years and I was able to quit hydro but when I tapered off xanax over a three week period and stopped ambien CT about 6 weeks ago the numbing and tingling sensations developped and were much much more severe. Neurologist said I had general anxiety disorder which I questioned because I don't feel anxious or overly worried about anything. However, the numbness and tingling are constant and debilitating every day. Neuro said its common for GAD. Talked about going back on xanax which I don't want but I can't live with symptoms either. He prescribed klononopam - haven't filled the scrip yet. Thinking I will have to go back on a benzo to hopefully get stabalized for awhile and then start a very very slow taper. Just don't know if I should go on klononopam or try valium as experiences I have read on this site seem to suggest that valium is easier to WD from because of dosages. Neoro also said there are a very large number of people that just stay on a benzo forever. It is hard not to wonder if the thousands of people that seem to have bad issues stopping bezos are suffering from WD or if it is possible that they may have a condition that can be improved by taking a benzo considering the fact that there are millions of people that are prescribed a benzo and don't seem to have a problem. I am one that would really like to not take anything at all but I also can't see living with parastesia as it is ruining any quality of life.

I had all sorts of symptoms during the past 16 months.  many of them could have been tested, but I thought that it was due to wd. I guess I was right. I just lived through it.

That was what worked for me. just my experience.
