Self-bashing looping thoughts

[sc...]

Recommended Posts

For the past month or so (at 7 months out) I've been having really intense thought patterns that go throughout the day but seem to be worse at night and that wake me every couple hrs.  The thing is, I've always had some pretty negative thought patterns about myself but have always been able to keep them in check with one technique or another.  These crazy self-hating thoughts that I have going on now are sooo incredibly intense and seem so real and true that its becoming very hard not to start thinking there is something true in them.

Has anyone had expereience with these types of thoughts and, more importantly, if they have passed?  Its just so hard to keep my spirite up when my mind is beating me down so badly.

Love some support,

Scott.

Scott I've had those really intense thoughts too, to me it almost feels like they're not even mine because they're so strong! That's how I know it's withdrawal and sometimes they're not as intense. I hope they subside for you soon!

Hello Scotth-

I thought I might chime in on this one. I've made multiple threads concerning my troubles with "intrusive thoughts", and I'm very aware how distressing they can become. They were pretty bad for me around your time off, and started to get better from there. These days, my thought patterns are definitely getting more positive.  A helpful tip is to do aerobic exercise if possible. It greatly reduces my stress, and the bad thoughts when ever I go for a jog or bike ride.

Good luck

Thanks so much Sam.  It just becomes soo hard to continue to resist believing these thoughts.  If I had other screaming symptoms as well it might be more easy to disreguard them.  In some ways things seem to be clearing, but being left with these thoughts is a harsh things to face.

Anyone else?
