Well it's been rough, but this morning I took my last dose of klonopin ever and threw the rest of it away. I guess I've finished the first part of this. I pray my body can rid itself of this poison quickly and allow my brain to start get back to normal quickly. I'm so glad I never have to look at those pills ever again. I hope you all are doing well.

Congrats.  Not thinking about taking your dose and having to taper will probably be very liberting for you--it was for me, even when I have symptoms.

Congratulations, Coop. You still have a few more months of recovery ahead, but I think the worst is probably behind you now.

Good luck.

This is AMAZING, Coop!  I know you have been through the ringer during your taper.  Please remember, if things get rough in the near future, it will NOT last.  I had some ups and downs when I was off of benzos, but recently I'm seeing a lot more improvement and I now know 100% that I will heal fully.  My "worst" was my taper.

SO proud of you and so extremely happy for you.  Your body is now going to do what it needs to do to finish the healing process.  If you have a bad day, just tell yourself your body is working hard to heal - withdrawal can not harm us, it is just uncomfortable.

Celebrate...even if it means curling up on a the couch with a book or movie and just being PROUD of yourself.  It takes strong people to get through this experience and you are now through the taper!!!

Hugs,

Schatje

I didn't care how bad the withdrawal was going to be, I was supremely relieved once I took my pills back to the pharmacy.

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you
