getting off of Ativan

I am on 2 mgs of Ativan. I weaned off of 4 x a day to 3. My Doctor gave me 10 Mg's of Valium 3x a day . will it work? Will the Valium overide the Ativan?? Ativan isn't working hardly and i want off of it. Eventually i want off all of it. I tried to cut down to 2- 2mg's and i was so anxious and couldn't eat or relax. Any help??

Welcome to Benzo Buddies, you will get so much support here.

According to the Ashton Maunual 3 mgs Ativan is equivalent to 30 mgs Diazepam but I can't quite make sure from your introduction if you are still on 3 mgs or are in fact now down to 2 mgs (Ativan that is)

If you are on 3mgs Ativan, then 30 mgs Diazepam is the approximate equivalent.

Maybe you could clarify the amount of Ativan you are currently taking.
