Bleeding ears?

[Me...]

Recommended Posts

My right ear is starting to bleed slightly on the upper side as if it were a rash, scratch or soreness of some kind (it's not a huge amount thankfully, just that when it gets sore and I touch it there is a slight amount of blood).

Does anyone else get this, or had it, and is it normal?

I don't really want to go to the docs, as they may give me some other pills which right now is the LAST thing I need.

I just need to know if it's normal and if anyone else has had it.

There's also a bit of excessive dirt around some areas so I try and clean it with a q tip, which could be scratching it maybe.

I had some ear problems but it was the cartilage that was painfull somtimes not an inner ear problem (well except tinnitus) I'm not sure you should take any peculiar bleeding lightly, I think it's worth checking out.

Star's right. Better to get it checked out than have a problem develop.

Try talking to your doctor if you're prescribed medication for it, and make sure whatever they give you won't hinder your healing.

Yip me too.  Mine itch and often feel as though there is fluid in them.  When I clean or try to absorb the "fluid" with an earbud it is quite bloody.  There is also a lot of dry skin on the outer lobe and like Colleen I do scratch them, making them bleed even more.  This often happens in the night and wakes me from my precious couple of hours sleep.

Woh, that is the EXACT same thing I have. There's loads of dry skin around my ears. I'm guessing it's because there's a soreness and dryness and a bit scabby and if you scratch a scab then I guess, well, it bleeds.

Ditto.  I had this for awhile and it cleared up.  Thick scale that when picked off would bleed.  It hasn't happened for a couple of months and there is no evidence now that anything was ever there (no scarring).  I also had painful swelling inside of the ear canal which cleared up.  I'm not sure if this was related.

Yeah, that's exactly what I have. All this is just INSANE.

Yeah my ears bleed sometimes, and I'm not sure why. I sleep with ear plugs and they inflame my ears pretty badly so maybe it's related. Usually I notice an itchy or wet sensation and find that it's blood. I think this happened before WD too though.
