[sh...]
I am currently off xanax-23 days now- and suffering severe w/d I have been cutting my ambien- from CR 12.5 to CR 6.25 to 5 and am supposed to cut that in half for a week or 2 but I am terrified! I just cut 1 in half and took 1 when I went to bed and the other 1/2 when I woke up 4 hrs later- the past 2 nights- got 5 hours of sleep but when I wake up my heart races so fast! I've been trying different vitamins and suppliments- very hit or miss. I think the omega 3 fish oil is helping a little. I can't take naps like I used to- I am very tired but when I lay down I get shocks and can't relax. Tried melatonin and valerian root and camomile -not sure if they help or hurt- tried benedryl and sometimes it works sometimes it agitates? [Be...]
Hi, shyhamlet. I tried to quit Ambien a couple of times after I finished my lorazepam taper but wasn't succesful until a number of months had passed. When you said you are supposed to cut again, is this something a doctor is requiring you to do? If you have some discretion in the matter, I'd recommend waiting a month or two or until your Xanax withdrawal symptoms are minimal or non-existent. I also tried the things you mentioned with pretty much the same result. BTW, I knew I was really healed form the Ambien when I was able to take 20 minute naps again and be refreshed. It is a wonderful feeling and one I hope you will have again real soon.
[pr...]
Might not be a good idea to try to get off Ambien while you are still suffering Xanax withdrawal. Better to wait a while.
