[te...]
BBuddies- To those of you still tapering I have a question. Do you get these high blood pressure spikes, esp. the diastolic reading? Each and every morning, my BP is high, esp. the bottom number. Does this occur for any of you?............... T2
[fi...]
It hasn't for me, but ever since being on Klonopin I have had low pressure most of the time. When I have come off too quickly, my blood pressure got high and one time I had to be given Clonidine to lower it. At any rate, I hope your BP issues even out soon. [te...]
Thanks, FG Guess there are not many who experience these blood pressure spikes. They always occur when I first awaken. Even if I awaken during the early a.m. hours and take a BP med, the high BP still occurs in the morning. It's weird because at night the bp numbers are both under 100?!?! [fi...]
Perhaps it has something to do with an adrenaline rush in the morning. I know when I was detoxed in 5 days in a hospital (from Klonopin), after I got home I would have a fast heartbeat as soon as I woke up (before I was even fully awake). I didn't check my blood pressure, but my guess is that it was high as well. I have heard of several people having adrenal surges when they first woke up in the morning. I hope things smooth out for you, by the way. Sincerely, fg
[te...]
You are probably right, FG. I do have the adrenaline surges as well. When I was in the psych.hosp. & was placed on clonazepam & sertraline, thought my heart would beat right out of my chest. Thanks again, FG. Hope you are doing well!.............T2
[fi...]
That's exactly how I felt when I would first wake up from the 5-day detox. My heart was just racing. Sincerely, fg
