I am new here and i just wanted to share with people who lose hope, that healing is possible.

I was on benzo (temazepam) for sleep not long time 8-9 months, and i didnt know tapering so i had to quit CT. It was nigthmare. Now I am over 5 yrs after last pill and i am doing better. Sometimes (while stress ) i have tiredness, and painfull legs and arms, but its nothnig compare to the beganing. sometimes i catch depressive thinking but its becouse i have some family problems. But if someone did CT please don't lose hope. For me healing took long, i am not 100% yes but i can say its much better.

I was on the other support forum but its closed now so i found you :) on other forum they told in w/d and generally to avoid strong antibiotics. Do u also follow this rule?

Hi Arabeska,

Thanks so much for sharing your success story.  So glad you found this forum.  We don't have too many members who take this long to see some good healing.  I took my last benzo 42 months ago so your story helps me immensely.  Do you have days that the tiredness is not with you?  Right now I am battling body weakness, hip pain, fasciculations of the lower legs, eyelid twitches and a few other symptoms.  I would be so much better if the weakness would stop.  Did you find the 4-5 year mark off benzos with more healing?

I have taken amoxycillin with no problems.  You must stay away from the fluoroquinolone antibiotics (Levaquin, Cipro, Tequin, Avelox, etc.)  These antibiotics affect the same GABA receptors.  It is well known on this forum to avoid them.

You have been a brave and determined person to get this far.  Congratulations!!!!  :yippee:

Hi Arabeska,

Wow,

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for taking the time to share your story. You have given me my hope back. I am 16 months out from a ct of ativan. Things have been rough to say the least. I still have a lot of symptoms at this point. I get some small windows(not 100%) but the rest of the days are not so kind. The waves are still so bad I cry. I am not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel yet and sometimes I just lose all hope of ever healing. I can see that it is going to be a long journey for me too and thanks to you I can see healing does happen over time. I guess I need to be more patient.

I hope you continue to heal and stay in touch. Everyone needs to hear these success stories.

Thanks again,

Rain
