Anyone in the US collecting SSDI due to withdrawal?

Hey all,

I'm about 6 months out and had to quit my job in early Sept. '11 due to wd symptoms.  Knowing that this might take a bit longer than expected I was curious if anyone had qualified for disability due to wd.  Under what disability did you qualify?  Depression? Anxiety?  Was it a difficult process?  I'm not sure how much of a fight I can put up right now so I hope there aren't too many hoops to jump through.  This is probably wishful thinking.  Any feedback appreciated.

Scott.

They will not approve a claim for withdrawal.  You can try to apply with a diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder and/or depression, that can be approved but it is a long and difficult process.

You may want to check into supplemental social security.

For SSDI you need to be disabled at least 1 yr. and expected to continue for at least another yr.

It took me almost 4 yrs. to get SSDI with an attorney and piles upon piles of paper work.

This is for 3 separate disabilities. I'm probably not doing much for your wishful thinking. If you

have other qualified disabilities it may be worth checking into or like I mentioned about the

supplemental SS. Do you have any disability insurance through your job?

Hope this helps some,  :)

Mindy
