Over a month out.

I will keep my progress here about months off ;)

My acute withdrawal started July, 2011. I was still tapering, and at that time was on 20mg of Valium. I tapered 15mg in three months, and then 5 within two months; I would not recommend this fast BTW. Here is my experience so far;

Last year I had headaches, depression, d/r, d/p, and still have these to a much manageable state. Well, unless I float below the baseline. I was out walking last year several times within the night, and I had memory flooding. I started having memories pre - benzo first and then it merged into the things I did while on Klonopin. So, the dating is from 1989 - 2010. I do not remember some of my childhood. That is starting to come back. I work with numbers, so that hits the grey areas.

My biggest improvements:

Concentration is better

Long Term Memory

My Blood Pressure (I think)

Heart Rate

Tinnitus

Appetite is somewhat better (This fluctuates, but I have an appetite more than I did.

My awareness is much sharper and I think my attitude has transformed into a better person, as I cannot relate to things I typed out a year ago, like, "Why isn't time round?" LOL, if any of you remember me asking that! That was a perceptual distortion! I know it's actually curved. ;) Benzo's change perception, and they will throw up deception and other fronts.. this is to try to get one hooked back on them! Don't buy it! Once off, stay off! The withdrawals are bad, and don't I know it! We all do!

Also, I noticed that my artwork is coming back. I would get so frustrated when in tolerance! It took my creativity. Well, I had the creativity and emotion still there.. why on the Benzo's, just not as in depth.

The pills are nothing short of wicked! Just stay the course! I am NOT healed! I still have a long way to go. I don't think the complete healing can be predicted. I have been on this forum since August of 2010. I have seen members come and go, and healed! So, yes it does happen! I hope it does for me and all of us! Soon, very soon.. BUT this is a process, as you all know.

I still have d/r, depression, anxiety, insomnia, headaches, some muscle pain (This is in my back).

There is a special person I would like to thank here on the forum. There were many times I wanted to give up on the taper. Anyway, her signature once said, "Acceptance lessens suffering." I read that so many times! It is countless. ;) Actually, everyone on the forum has been a big help.

So the above is where I stand now.

Billy.

PS- Here is my quote.

"The mind fits the universe." ;) It's amazing and mind blowing what it can heal from!

I still have many symptoms. I can scratch a few off. These s/x's have a transforming cycle to them.

Billy.

Thanks for the Congrats.

I notice that too even tho I'm still tapering, they seem to morph.  Hoping yours are morphing in a kinder, gentler way :)

And btw, congratulations.  This is HUGE!

Thanks Guys,

It has been hard. The derealisation, perceptual stuff, spinal burning, headaches, and other s/x's.

I thought when people said, "Hangin' in there?" It was just an expression.  >:(

:smitten:
