well today is 22days since i c/t'd ativan... it has been pretty rough even went to the er bc i thought i was dying! I actually have been feeling pretty well for the last few days. I am also taking remeron it definitely helps me sleep but i dont want to be on it very long... I am still struggling with getting out out the house and low energy/motivation. is it possible that im healing already??? I just really hope that things continue to get better!!!!

That really is good news, sena44.    I happen to believe healing starts as soon as we start reducing our benzo use so, yes, you are healing; no question about it.  It's certainly possible you will be hit with the odd wave from time to time but don't let it throw you.  It's just more of your GABA system resetting itself.  Hope  you continue to see steady progress.

Thanks for the input beeper I know I am early off but I have already seen a big improvement in 3weeks!!! I pray for everybody that is going thru this bc I know how horrible it is. God bless!

Remeron masked thewithdrawal For me. If you plan on discontinuing Remeron, please do it very very slowly. It's not clear from your signature whether you just recently added Remeron, or have been on it all along.

Thanks for the input wellness... I have been on remeron for about 3 weeks. I take 15 mg at night... What was your experience with it wellness?

I'm very sensitive to medication, and what works for one person is not what is going to work for another. I have seen several people on this board do very well with Remeron, if it helps you deal with the withdrawal, you can deal with the Remeron later.
