breaking doses up

What does everyone think about breaking my 4 - .5 xanax doses into 8- .25 doses since im struggling with I/W sx so bad?

It might help  with interdose withdrawl,as xanax has a short half life bando

Thanks Bando, I started it today at my 230 pm dose so i can take .25 at 430pm my head already feels a little weid its only been 45 minuts. My head was pretty clear before my body and anxiety was the killer. i will see how it goes. Hopefully good so next week i start titrating or something. I will be titraiting 8 doses mmm hope this works

Can you get into see another dr. And see about crossing over to valium?  It  has  a half life  of 200 hrs. And once you get lower if on  valium you will only have to dose once  a day  bando

He is 5 1/2 hours away, but im thinking i will try and titraite if i cant handle it i will make the trip. But the bad thing is he wants you to come check in once a month Thats alot of traveling but i will if i need to

you going to be awake every 3 hrs? maybe take 2 X.25s before you sleep and you can aim for 6 hrs then. IDK - just ideas but that is every 3 hrs (yikes).

hello Robbed, ive been taking 4 -.5 xanax for 15 tears steady. Up until today ive been taking doses at 630 am 1030 am 230 pm and 630 pm .5 each dose i thought if i did 8 doses of .25 my I/W would not be as bad. Ive never taken pills in the middle of night. I just hope i can come of this stuff. Im going to titraite in another week. Lot of doseing i know

I think to even spread the dosing around the clock is the only way to keep the dose stable. Also, why would you wanna taper off such a short half life drug as Xanax. Seems like quite a task when there are easier, less torturous methods. Xanax is the worst of the benzos because of the half life IMO. Why not switch to V or K and dose every 12 hrs?

Xanax was hard for me to get off....after like 3 unsuccessful attempts valium worked the best

Klonopin did this to me. I was at five doses a day at the end. I switched to Valium. I cannot imagine with Xanax, looking back on how bad it was with Klonopin.
