Left eye twitching.

I've had the problem of my right eye twitching, it hasn't done it in about 2 weeks now (knock on wood). I had it during my first taper too, it's REALLY annoying! Hang in there, like everything else, it goes away with time.

My left eye twitches.  Then it moves down to my thigh which twitches. Then it moves somewhere else.  Considering all of the s/x, this is one of the least distressing and more interesting ones at least lol.  Although when my eye starts doing it's thing and I'm talking to someone, while they don't say anything, I'm sure they are wondering why I'm half winking at them :)

My eye twitched often before i was on Klonopin; I found that when i got days of poor sleep and was stressed...it would twitch. I asked my doctor about it and she said i was just fine, just a side-affect from both poor sleep and stress...nothing to worry about. While it may be a side affect from K, assume it is not - don't give yourself another issue to stress about.

Hi

When it affects an eyelid its called "Blepharospasm" when it affects multiple areas on the face it is called "Myokymia" and when it affects multiple areas on the body it is called "Neuromyotonia" (Isaac's syndrome) I have had this since 2004 the ultimate Mr Twitchy, it has lessened over time the further I get into my recovery .. it can also cause burning, tingling cramps and spasms and the feeling that your body has been sunburned and has insects crawling over it .. I had it so bad that even under my feet and calfs would look like invisible fingers were playing a piano on my muscles ... not painful just odd  :)

My left eye twitched for at least 6 months, started while in tolerance, drove me crazy. Then one day about 3 months after quitting ativan it stopped. I get a twinge every once in a while, but not constant like it was. Hope it ends for you shortly.

My right eyelid is constantly twitching these days as well. When I was younger (pre benzo/alcohol days) this would also happen when I was exhausted or stressed. My doctor mentioned I was probably low on calcium and magnesium. When I started on supplements the twitching stopped in a couple of days. I'm too nervous right now to even take calcium/magnesium. Don't want anything to upset my precarious grasp of balance at the moment.

I have been on benzos for a long time and my left eye has twitched on and off during this time, I dont know if it was the benzo, tolerance, anxiety, it was annoying but bearable when I think of the far worse side effects that one was a minor annoyance for me anyway but all part of the experience of these drugs Ladygrace

I have this too sometimes. Try not to look at women or you will be slapped for winking at them!!! It is probably nothing, at least I can still see out of it right?

Left eye twitch along with tingling were my first two symptoms - months before I realized I was in tolerance.  Also upper left lip twitch.  Both went away about 4 months later.  Wish the burning skin would go too!
