Headaches

I'm wondering how many people get headaches from WD. I'm of since Dec 5/11 after 20 years. I really thought that this would be behind me now after a slow wean. I'm feeling better than I did but still having s/x. I have a dull headache today that is very aggravating as I want to bake a special cake for my daughter's birthday. Any ideas?

I had headaches on the Klonopin. I remember taking Excedrin all the time, but I didn't know it was Kpin. Yes, I have had these headaches you are talking about. One morning last year; I had one that was horrible. Hang in there and hope you get your cake baked. :)

Hey Frannie,

I have had bad headaches/migraines during all my taper. When I started the taper migraine lasted 4 months, I don't think I had a single day migraine free. After that time I have less migraines maybe 1-2 per week.

I can't take advil, aleve ,paracetamol much less exedrin because it has caffeine. I do take homeopathic remedies. They work great, fast relief the only problem is that I have to take it a few times per day. The effect only lasts a few hours but I don't have any side effects from it.

Today I'm having tension headache but yesterday I had a bad migraine. The weather is bad here and the allergy is killing me.

Putting ice on my neck, massaging trigger points on neck and face helps too. Also I found these cool videos, it works great for me:

I hope it helps a little.

Hi Frannie,

I've had headaches (dull, top or back of head) off and on, mostly on, since tapering six months ago.  Aleve doesn't help, have just been tolerating them.  Not comparable to the intensity of migraines, though.  Hang in there!  I'm thinking it's the GABA receptors either screaming for meds or beginning to repair themselves...not sure which.
