I started on 4mgs of xanax for gradually for 2 yrs and ashton manual tapered w/ valium. I am currently at 1.25 mg xanax per day and i started tapering Nov 21st 2011. I am not taking 50-60 mgs of valium a day because it makes me so sleepy. I know that on the taper chart it shows that you need to eventually get to 80 mg of valium, but i just dont feel my body needs anymore lethargy. I excersize daily, and work full time no problems with only mild w/d sxs. I just cut today from 1.75 xanax w. 30 mg v to 1.25 xanax w/ possibly a higher dose of valium now? maybe I should stay at 30 mg and see how i feel or should i increase by 5mg or 10mg? Am I tapering too fast? You don't show a drug history sig line. If you are doing a crossover...the .5mg X reduction is equal to 10 mgs V, so adding 10mgs V while reducing the Xanax by .5 mgs would be correct. As for tapering too fast...Doesn't look as if you have a solid taper plan Jane so IDK. 1.25 X + 40 mgs V = 65 mgs V. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
