[co...]
Can someone explain the point of holding if there's such a thing as interdose/tolerance w/d. My husband was only on K for a few short weeks and started feeling really bad between doses. He has been tapering but has never been able to stabilize and now he's almost off. He did try to hold for 3 weeks at .625 but never got relief so kept going. I think I remember reading in the Ashton manual that holding after 3 weeks isn't pharmacologically sound. And that makes sense to me when you consider tolerance. But I don't get how you could stabilize if you're in tolerance. And he's now at less than .0625 so wouldn't the best thing be to keep tapering and get off this damn drug?...I think so, but really, what do I know? [Ho...]
Here's some information about tolerance. http://www.benzobuddies.org/benzodiazepine-information/tolerance-addiction-dependency The bottom line is, is holding isn't helping then, if it were me, I'd continue to taper at a sensible rate until I was off the meds. He's been through a lot considering he was on such a short amount of time.
[gi...]
I was in tolerance withdrawl for a very long time and never really did ever stabilize between cuts . I found that I had to continue to go forward and now realize that true healing begins once you are off the drug. The pace of the taper should be individualized as to what a person can reasonably handle.
