Benzo withdrawal? To hell with it.. I'm going skiing!

I finally said .. enough is enough.  I got my butt up, hopped on a plane, and flew to Colorado for a week of snow skiing.  I was terrified, panicky, and my ears were screaming loud.  But, you know what?  I made it.  And despite not feeling 100%, I'm having a blast.. ears ringing and all!  Lol!  Guys, I know that it's tough.  BUT, get outside and do some good,  physical work.  I promise that it'll at least take your mind off of your withdrawal/taper!  I refuse

to let these benzos control me!

Oh how I envy you. I consider myself lucky to still have a roof over my head. Everything of value has been sold just to survive.

 

For the most part you're right about getting out. But hard physical exercise leaves me in a world of hurt for quite a while. Bike rides, walks and grocery shopping are about all I can handle at the moment.

 

I'm done whining now.

Cool, I went skiing right after Christmas.

 

There was almost no snow, though. We went to Aspen. Where are you at?

Thanks, guys.. it took a lot of courage to make myself come out here.  I've also had to push through intense anxiety and fear to ski more aggressive stuff that I've never tried. 

 

We're in Winter Park, CO.. We've been skiing on the Mary Jane side most of the week.

I live in CO so, Welcome!! I haven't been skiing since my teens but on my benzo bucket list is to hit the hills and go snowmobiling into forever
