HI,my benzo brain is getting pretty darn foggy and I need some more help with my taper plan. I am doing the 10% cut  every week or longer with water titration and a bit of variaion depending on how I am feeling. I started on Feb 5th This is what I was told to do in the beginning, open my 30mg capsule, mix it into 100ml of water, take out 10ml and drink the rest , giving me a dose of 27mg, I have slowly increased that and last night took out 16 mls and tonight I will take out 19mls giving me a dose of 24.3, I will do this for a week and then take out 27 mls giving me a dose of 21.9. can any one follow up on this for me, So far I am sleeping pooly, have blurry vision in the evening, have some feeling of throat tightness and feeling of not being able to take a deep breath, heaviness in my thighs. Is this too fast and should I make it simple from here on and just reduce by one ml every night, any advice or opinions would be greatly aprreciated, thank you so much Ladygrace

Ladygrace, sounds to me like you are experiencing interdose withdrawals.  Those are the type symptoms I was having plus others when I tried the liquid tapering  method of Temazepam.  That's exactly why I ended up going the Ashton Valium taper and so for it's working great.  I've had 3 days of feeling really good since completely discontinuing the Temazepam.  I honestly believe the short acting benzo were causing me the most problems.

Hi, this could be right but I have already spoken with my Dr and he will not switch me to Valium , he looked at me as if I was a street addict just looking for more drugs, If I continue to have difficulties I will bring in pertinent pages from the ashton manual and the wiki articles, I have also spoken with2  pharmacists who dont think think there is any need to even do a slow taper, just drop to 15 mg for a few weeks , no wonder so many people fail to get off these drugs its sickening the lack of knowledge about benzos in the medical community. rant finsished. I will just keep plugging away with a slow, slow taper, thanks for responding I am glad you are doing so well in your cross over. Ladygrace
