Hello & need help

I have been on Xanax 2 mg every night for 10 years. I have gotten myself to 1mg/day in the last month. I'm interested in the water titration. I'm too foggy to figure out the dosage. I would appreciate any help, Thanks~

Hello Rnsuzy, and welcome to Benzo Buddies!

 

How are you feeling after dropping 1mg of Xanax this past month?  That is a pretty fast taper, so you may want to consider slowing it down, and water titration is definitely one way that people have success with.  I did not do a titration with my taper, so I can't give you any tips, but make sure to check out our titration board to further help you along.  And I'm sure someone(s) will respond to this thread who can lead you in the right direction.

 

Good for you for coming so far already!  I hope you are doing well.  Not everyone experiences unpleasant side effects while coming off of Benzos, but if so then the support on this forum is extremely helpful.

Hi rnsuzy!  I don't have any specific advice concerning a tapering schedule but want to jump in here and offer some support.  Congratulations on your determination to get off Xanax.  I have been off for 3 weeks today and am beginning to feel better.  My case is different from yours but there is life after Xanax.  Hang in there, you can do this!
