[...]
I'm at like 7 and a half months now, just looking for opinions on this. I know another wave is certainly possible, but can it get as bad as earlier waves were? My wave at 4.5 months was horrendous--horrible insomnia, anxiety off the charts, panic attacks almost nightly, waking up with a pounding heart, and I even had some derealization come back. Anyway--can it get that bad again? I haven't had a wave since then, my recovery has actually been surprisingly linear since that time--I had the bad setback around October, and since then month to month I've been getting better. [WT...]
On February 5, I was hit with a wave that hasn't let up at all, and progressively gets worse each day -- this wave is on par with stuff I had in month 2. I hope you don't get anymore waves, but yes it is possible, but I'm wishing you the best in that you have no more waves. It's possible you will have no more waves. [...]
I've pretty much accepted the fact that anything is possible with this crap. Although my memory hasn't been all that good lately, I had a bad 2 week long wave early in my 6th month and although I've had plenty of uncomfortable symptoms since, that was the last worst wave for me (I've probably jinxed myself now). Expect symptoms to come and go, but hopefully not with the same force as in your earlier days of w/d.
[Fl...]
It certainly can, but I have yet to experience a wave with the intensity of acute wd.
[Cr...]
Since I quit alcohol in Dec. 2010 and jumped from my klonopin reinstatement Jan. 21 2011 I have had two major waves (really intense, persistent symptoms, lasting 3 or more weeks). Mid-April to mid-May was the worst major wave I had (month 3 to 4) and then I had another one from mid-August to mid-September (month 7 to 8 ). Both caused horrible debilitating anxiety, depression, morning anxiety/nausea, intrusive negative thoughts, etc... Since then I have had high intensity waves that have lasted a few days and low intensity waves that have lasted a few weeks, but I haven't had another major high intensity + high duration wave since the August one. So yes it is very possible - I went through it. I had to drop out of school for the fall semester because of the 2nd major wave. I am going through a harsh period right now, but luckily it hasn't reached the same magnitude as those previous two major waves. I am able to work (wasn't capable during the first wave) and able to go to school (wasn't capable during the 2nd wave).
