[Ru...]
Ok so I started crossing to valium yesterday so far subbing .375 mgs ativan for 3.75 mgs valium and feel today like my mind just won't shut up keeps just rolling with thoughts strangly normally when this happens I am just in a panic but today not panicing just obsessing also feel a bit blah and just lost like major dp. Don't feel normal at all but at least less anxious. Just wondering if this is normal for cross over. When you cross does this mean on a new benzo sx should totally go away or is it that the valium will still cause these sx just not as bad or am I likely feeling this way cause of the drop in ativan but the valium is at least covering the anxiety just not stopping the dp and obsessing. I guess I just don't know what to expect with the crossover. If ativan always made me feel crappy before ever tapering will valium likely do this too as it is still a benzo? Just thought by crossing the valium would stop all sx. Feedback on crossing and what to expect would be appreciated.
[Ru...]
Can anyone else tell me what to expect I feel sort of sedated not depressed just kinda numb but still have a lot of obsessive thoughts. Is it the drop in ativan drop causing the obsessive thoughts but the valium calming the anxiety? Just don't feel like myself at all. Not that I ever did on the ativan either does the valium still cause side effects even though I feel calmer? I am assuming that crossing to valium won't take away all side effects the ativan was causing me or won't make me feel normal since I am just switching from one to another. I mean they are all still bemzos and still cause side effects just slightly diff. But once crossed fully does it get better is crossing quite hard? I assume I won't fully feel normal till fully off benzos for a while. What side effects have others had on valium?
[Ru...]
Anyone can you help me with what sx you had while crossing?
[Ru...]
So can no one explain what they have experienced while crossing over . I ont understand why I am having obsessive looping thoughts. I just started the crossover yesterday shouldn't the valium be helping with the ativan wd. I don't know if it is the ativan wd causing this or the valium side effects or just me. Shouldn't the valium stop the ativan wd?
[Ju...]
Obsessive thoughts definitely but I had them anyway. I felt paranoid a few times and felt electric jolts, also felt there was a war going on in my head and I was losing my mind. It settled for me but that's just my experience. I slept at night and had dropped my ambien so it did have a sedative effect but not to where it bothered me. I also felt major depression but am still not sure about the candida so that could have added to it, the depression is better now too. I hope this helps Ruby. [Ru...]
Is it likely that the valium isn't covering the ativan drop yet and for those who have crossed over will it get better as the valium builds up. If the ativan always made me feel worse will the valium as well. My main concern is that as I get lower. It is all me and the meds just aren't helping me I am scared. [...]
My experience is that Valium takes some time to build up (at least a week, three weeks to build up fully). During that time it is possible that you experience withdrawal effects due to Ativan's shorter half life. Sedation was a major side effect when I crossed over. I was so tired, but after a while it subsided.
[ba...]
I had no problems at all on my cross over, while taking ativan alone all I wanted to do was sleep valium half 200 hrs it will take some time to complete the cross over but It will be worth it
[Ru...]
Hey guys thanks so much for the help. So is it safe to assume that what I am feeling is likely from dropping ativan but not feeling the full effects of valium yet?
[ba...]
Yes to your question by being on valium you won t have severve peaks and valleys you will be fine bando
[Ru...]
So is it normal though to still not feel great while crossing? I just don't feel normal not that I felt normal on the ativan but guess I was thinking the cross over would make all the anxiety and obsessive thoughts and cog fog dp dr etc go away. Also the memory impairment. When others cross over do all side effects or wd effects from the other drug go away and they feel normal again or was this silly of me to think I would feel totally normal on valium even though I felt like crap on ativan even before I ever tapered. Could I be feeling wds from ativan right now since the valium hasn't built up yet?
[ba...]
This is impossible to predict there no way to determine the outcome try not to worry you are on the best benzo to get off benzos bando
[Ru...]
What I don't understand is why do I feel so crappy if the valium should work . Ativan always made me feel crappy so does this mean valium will too or is this even wd since the valium isn't helping . Is it just me and now at a low dose of ativan it isn't covering my anxiety is there any way that getting off benzos will still help me to feel normal? How come I don't feel any good affects from valium yet?
[Ru...]
Is there any way the valium will help more as I keep going with the crossover is day 2 not really the day to judge its effectiveness yet?
[ba...]
You really can not judge until your cross over is complete, then it would hard to judge you would have trouble determing if it was the valium or w/d symptoms unfortunately there just no way to tell bando you will be fine try not to worry bando
[Ru...]
Thanks bando does valium cause sideeffects too? How do most feel on valium? I just wonder if anyone feels worse or sagnificantly better on valium and so I should wait at least a week to let the valium build up is that right? I wouldn't really feel the valium yet? If I reacted bad on one benzo does that mean I will react bad on another? Or does it matter that it is a diff benzo since neither are good and that is why we are trying to get off cause most benzos make us feel crappy over long tern? [ba...]
All benzos make us feel lousy,dr. Ashton said valium is the best because of its long half life and you can get 2 mg tablets just make sure you have 10, 5, and 2mg tablets , Is your dr. Benzo wise?
