In my Inbox today, re: conquering fears

Some anxiety reactions are due to an underlying fear, so I'm hoping this will help you as it has me.

Conquer fear with action

"Your fears are not walls, but hurdles. Courage is not the absence of fear, but the conquering of it."

-- Dan Millman

How do we conquer fear? With action. Millman says that action is the ONLY way to move through fear.

Fear aims to stop us in our tracks. When we step forward anyway, our anxiety eases. We begin to pay attention to what’s actually going on instead of being trapped in fearful speculation. When we’ve done it once, we can do it again. And again. And again.

"Many of our fears are tissue-paper-thin, and a single courageous step would carry us clear through them."

-- Brendan Francis

What a great quote....thanks so much....I'm saving that one.

Now...on a lighter note let me give you a couple of acronyms I've heard used, over the years for FEAR.

F.E.A.R.------False Evidence Appearing Real  and

F.E.A.R.------F*ck Everything And Run

I hate to admit it but there have been times in my life when I've experienced both. :)
