Buring nose, throat, chest, lung-Ativan side effect or W/D

Hi all,

Usually after 2 hours taking ativan, I feel shaking on my left side of my body, anxiety, and buring nose, throat, chest, and lung.  Seems like my Repertory system is buring.  My nose is very sensitive to the air and cold weather too......

Wondering if anyone who had the similar symptoms?  Is it ativan side effect or w/D symptoms?  How did you do to manange it or ease the discomfort?

thank you!

Hi all,

Will I still be getting server w/d symptoms after a slow tapping off ativan?  Or, usually the w/d symptoms are manageable after a slow tappering compared to a rapid tappering?  Thank you.

Hi,

There are really no solid answers.  Withdrawal symptoms affect all of us differently, but it appears that the slow tapering is definitely the better way to go.

As far as how severe, and how long withdrawals last, it varies with each individual.

Listen to your body, and if something feels extraordinarily painful or strange, don't hesitate to have it checked out by a medical proffesional.

Here is a link to the Ashton Manual.    http://www.benzo.org.uk/manual/

the best to you
