[ho...]
I was usually able to deal with pain while on clonazepam as needed. I have gone through all tapers well so far except this last one, so have been holding at .47 mg for 3 weeks. I no longer feel the c. kick in after takiing it. There is no over the counter pain med that touches the pain and my anxiety from pain is terrible. Is this typical that eventually the reduced benzo has no effect? I've been on a higher dose of thyroid med for three weeks now and wonder if the increased dose is too high and maybe contributing to the anxiety. Have to wait 3 weeks more to be tested and then a week more for results. Hope I can hang in there for a month!
[fi...]
I'm not benzo-free yet, but perhaps some other buddies can jump in here and offer their advice. By the way, I have been holding a year on the same dose of Klonopin due to stomach cramps and pain, etc. when I tried to cut. This all started after a failed 5-day detox where I had to reinstate. You may want to continue to hold longer at your current dosage until the side effects subside. At any rate, I hope things improve for you. [ho...]
I'm not sure I can make it on this dose, but worried updosing will not work either. I was so optimistic that I could do this. I see my MD who prescribed this in the first place, in two weeks (reason for appt is not benzo related) and I know she'd say to get back on it. At the moment, I'm tempted but will hang in there and hope tomorrow is better. Does anyone who's had to hold for longer than two weeks in order to adjust to lower dose just wake up one day and they're ok on it? If not, it seems I might as well go cold turkey as this is how I felt when I did c/t last November on 8th day before reinstating and starting a taper. I'm all over the place in my emotions and trying to figure out what to do. Sounds like your symptoms have at least stabilized by staying on the dose fg? Sorry, I know I've read your posts but don't recall. Makes me wonder (if that's true) whether some of us can handle a certain dose indefinitely? I started this because I was warned, not because I had become tolerant. But I did forget them on a trip once and luckily got some on my trip and also, just don't want to be dependent on something that when removed from my body gives me such anxiety. But I'm there anyway on this taper now!!! I'm probably not even making sense right now.
[fi...]
My side effects mostly went away as I held (all but some pain in my body). I did have to updose once and it helped. Updosing again, however, did not help at all and I actually felt worse. Just my experience. You know what your body can handle, though. Perhaps some other buddies can jump in here and offer their advice as well. Hope you start to feel better soon. Sincerely, fg
