This taper just got more interesting. And a lot more important.

I found out yesterday, that, just before I went to see the Dr. to start my taper, my husband and I conceived. Like, a baby. I am pregnant.

 

With a baby. (I mean, it's more than likely a baby)

 

I am equal parts panicked and over-joyed. I'll be calling my doctor tomorrow to see how I need to procede with this taper, and what the safest thing is for both my and my baby. (Did I mention that some universal clerical error has decided to give me a child?)

I laughed out loud at your message Cat!!  Tricky ground now. But it does seem the pregnant body can do more than the non pregnant body.  Another clerical error?  LOL.

Who knows? Maybe insane "mommy-force-of-will" will help here. I quit smoking the second I found out (about 22 hours ago now. And how can I be 4 weeks pregnant and only have known about it for 22 hours?!?!) and haven't had a single cigarette craving. I also handed all my vicodin over to my husband and haven't thought about that until just now.

 

Wow. Your life can change so fast, based on the results of one tiny piece of litmus paper. (of course, there were actually 4 total pregnancy tests involved. Because I am nothing if not thorough....)
