How long after a cut do you feel w/d symptoms?

My last cut was almost a week ago and my w/d symptoms are getting worse every day. Shouldn't they be getting slowly better as I continue to hold? I am now down to cutting .125 from a .5 mg pill. I accomplished this in a little under 2 weeks. I'm getting horrible headaches, severe insomnia, increased anxiety and jumpiness, dizziness, you name it. I don't get it. Anyone feel their cuts increase in intensity Instead of slowly wane or at least stay the same??

I started feeling the effects of the cut about 4 - 6 days after each cut. I tapered Valium. So, this differs from a shorter acting Benzo. I noticed with Klonopin for me, it was around 3 - 4 days. The smaller in dosage I got, the more I would feel the symptoms.

YOu mentioned you started feeling the cuts at 3-4 days with Klonopin but how long would they last? How much longer will I feel ike this or will I stabilize a bit so I can feel strong enough to cut again? Or at least just get relief!

Cut very small amounts and give yourself at least 3 weeks before the next cut. Watch what you eat. This can play a big part in withdrawal. I get very little withdrawal problems. I notice the first day because I usually get a headache and the benzo gut thing flairs up a few days later. By the second week I start to feel better and by the 3rd week I am ready to cut again. I am tapering off of Librium.

I think you're cutting too fast honestly. I typically feel some withdrawal symptoms (with Klonopin) on days 2 and 3 after I make the cut. By day 4 I'm almost back to normal and continuing to feel better after that. Then I will hold at least another week.

This exact same thing happened to me. Everyone told me to hold so I held 3 weeks but never stabilized. I couldn't hold out any longer as the insomnia and akathesia were unbearable and I was non functional. I even increase. The ativan a little and it did nothing.  It was terrifying.  I finally added some Valium and two days later I slePt 6 hours and have been sleeping well since. Now that I am somewhT stabilized I am going to wait a week and begin reducing first the Ativan then the Valium verrrrrrry slowly. I hope this method works as I really don't want to dO a complete crossOver to Valium. The Ativan wd when I attempted crossing over was tough. I am just so sensitive to everything.

They would last until I stabilized, maybe four or five days.  What happened to me with Klonopin; I started out tapering it, and I was doing well. The problem is, I got ahead of myself, and well had to cross to Valium. If I was you, cut very slowly and listen to your body.

For me, I would usually feel them by the next day, and they would last around two or three weeks. I never stabilized, personally. I got my dose from 3 mg to 1.5 mg once over a few months, and finally couldn't tolerate it and resumed taking 3 mg. I think the cuts were too fast for someone on a short-acting benzo for as long as I'd been on it, looking back now.

If I were to try it again, I'd make the cuts smaller and keep it to two weeks. The slower taper was hard for me because I could rationalize to myself that I needed to go back up since I'd been "good" for so long. And that such a tiny amount wouldn't hurt me, just an extra 1/8th of a pill would be fine... and the next thing I knew, I'd have taken an extra pill over the course of a day.

I can validate day 3 for klonopin with sfx lasting about 7-10 days after. Have a close friend who independently came up with the term "The Day 3 effect." Benzobrain.

I also switched to valium 3 mg from klon .125 (which was not easy) but I have to say I am sleeping better now and that is important to me. I did a dose cute to 2.5 mg last week and it was much smoother than any klon reduction. Oddly, even with valium it seems hardest at days 3-7. I am beginning to think the Ashton protocol is for real.

TinaCA - I am so happy you are sleeping!! Have not seen you around here much, but congrats! :)
