[bm...]
Is it possible that withdrawal could produce a 24/7 headache on the left side where the temporal muscle? I have it 24/7 and it throbs and tingles. I can't figure out for the life of me if Clonzepam dulled the pain and I have had this for many years. All I know is that when I try to talk there is a lot Of pressure where my temporal muscle is. And when I don't talk it tingle and has pressure. The only thing that has ever helped the uncomfortable pain and pressure is Clonezepam.
[bm...]
Do you think it was the med and it will let up in time? It's been about 2 months and the intensity of the throbbing and tingling is the same. Could it be of this is the med that it takes time for the pressure and throbbing to release from the temporal muscle area?
[bm...]
I'm going through a really bad time and just wanted your advice. I still have the left side throbbing, extremely fatigued even though I'm sleeping now. I'm losing my mind a little bid, I just feel as if this is really how I am and I'm scared because I want to fix my left side headache but I feel That it's not Benzo related and I want to be open to the specialists at diamond headache clinic fixing my issue. I would prefer them getting to the root of it and not have to treat it with meds but I am open to it because I have to function at a high level. The craziest part is that Clonezepam took the headache away completely. Does this mean it could be nerve related? I'm so down right now, I also have a very difficult time talking with my customers because the pressure is intense when i'm talking. If anyone has any advice or thoughts I would really appreciate it. - Bmwzw
[da...]
It might be from clenching your teeth. I had similar pain and when the dentist pushed his finger into the muscle where I had the pain I levitated. He told me it was from extreme bruxism. Benzo's are sometimes prescribed for TMJ and teeth grinding so that's probably why you didn't have as much pain when you were on the drug. Maybe a night time mouth guard would help. [bm...]
I have no jaw pain but was diagnosed with bruxism and I wear my nightguard religiously every night. This is only on my left side where my temporal muscle is. It's 24/7 and it's a tingling and throbbing, of I rub my temporal muscle it's very tender. [Th...]
Hi I have had headaches, Head pressure and Dizziness daily since 2004 its a constant companion, its quite possible that yours could still becaused by your bite being off and biting onto your guard in the night, usually if its a headache related disorder than you will get other symptoms which unfortunately are similar to benzo withdrawal, such as hyperacusis, heypersensitivity to light, stimulants, straining your eyes etc ... Does it get worse if you drink coffee or tea? do you find it changes with head position?, worse when lying down or upright? worse in the morning or evening? worse or better when you are eating something or chewing gum? Usually these give an indication of whether it is truly a muscle issue, TMJ, Trigeminal Neuralgia or something like Hemicrania Continua .. [da...]
I have severe TMJ and have never had jaw pain. My pain is all the temporal muscle even though my jaw clicks, pops and grinds. If you open and close your mouth and put your finger on that muscle you will feel the movement and tightness. Not saying this is your problem but I have experienced the same pain and was told it was from bruxism. Donna
