Need Taper plan for Klonopion

I need someone to help me with a taper plan for klonopion been on it for 15 years current dose is 1.5 mg a day I have .5mg pills..

Have you watched the video yet?  Maybe remove 1/2 ml each time you cut?  What do you think?  (using 100ml base)

When do you take your dose?  Also, from all I have read put the dose in whole milk as this drug does not bind as well to water.  Shake the crushed dose in the milk suspension and then take out what you need.  I have a 100ml plastic cylinder to cut by 1 ml increments. So you could start crushing the whole 1.5 mg in the milk, shake it and than take out 1ml to start.  Therefore, your first cut would be 1.49, than to 1.48, 1.47 and so forth.  How often you go down is dicier.

Some people go down by 1ml every 2 days instead of every day, and others even further apart.

 

I have seen people shake the suspension in a glass jar with a lid, or even better a plastic jar with a sealed screw on lid.

 

I am a little fuzzy about how to divide the dose if it is taken throughout the day, as I take all mine at night.

There is a you tube video that was posted awhile back on how to do titration that I found helpful.  And Colin who was the moderator has posted on titrating at the beginning of this thread.

 

The you tube video talks in detail about this method and the people in the video actually stir the dose in the liquid they are using. So, I would watch the video, get a graduated cylinder and mortar and pestle to crush the pills, the milk and a jar with a sealed lid.

Sorry, I did the dose calculation wrong, taking out 1ml from the first cut from 1.5mg would give you 1.495ml, then to 1.494, 1.493 etc.  Watch the you tube video that Kian has posted at the top of this thread.

KIAN, I finally got your video to work, that was great and very helpfull to me thank you very much. I am starting my titration in a couple of days, I am scared as all get out but I need my life back.
