Derealization and me!

So finally after alot of reading I figured out what the hell it is I am going through, it finally has a name, but I will just refer to it as DR.

DR has crept up on me over the last week or so and to be honest I cant wait till it goes away, because for awhile there i thought I was starting to lose my mind! Everything is so spacy and dreamlike, my head feels tight and the pressue at the top/bridge of my nose feels tight (like I am going to have a nose bleed) Everything in my vision gives off a colorful glow or it tends to give of a shimmery affect (like sunlight on frosty grass on a cold morning) overall its just a trippy sensation (sensations, ya thats the word, sensations are wierd) Luckily I have read all these things are symptoms of DR and DR a symptom of benzo withdrawl. All the books/posts say its harmless and will pass, but that dont make it any easier, but at least i know what it is now!

I'm glad you figured it out! 

 

It's weird, right? I feel sort of like my head is full of cotton balls. I talked to my therapist about it today, and she also assures me that it's both harmless and transitory.

Its weird and a bit scary, but now that i know what it is I am doing all I can to ignore it and get on with things! I still wonder as to what symptom is next, that I aint had already, hopefully I will lose a symptom or two rather than gain a new one
