[pr...]
Look in the "other medications" section, there are lots of discussions about Neurontin. Mostly, be aware that if you take it, you can't just quit it, you have to taper it. Also maybe be aware that it does have some strong cognitive effects (it's really hard on memory and ability to learn new things).
[bm...]
I don't want to take any meds, I want the Doc to figure out what this tingling and throbbing is and get to the root of the problem.
[bm...]
I think that 75% of my physical pain is the left side head issue and the other 25% is Withdrawal.

Does anyone know anything about Neurotin/gabapetin? Neurontin is an awful drug. There are many members here who have had major withdrawal problems with this drug. ask lamber, elocin and marlene. There was an entire thread dedicated to Neurontin wd.
[pa...]
I used gabapentin for burning nerve pain. It helped for about 3 weeks. After that my symptoms got worse and I slowly began to taper. The 3 -4 months I was on it (including taper) were the worst months I have had, and I was left with a new symptom: I was terribly hot most of the time - felt like I had a furnace inside me. That was 9 months ago. The heat symptom is slowly getting better. Burning skin is also slowly, slowly improving, but a long way to go. I feel gabapentin set me back and wish I had not used it.
