anyone else consumed by anxiety

Just wondering if anyone else feels so consumed by anxiety and obsessive thoughts that they feel trapped in their own minds and feel as if they don't take things in can't interact with others and feel they are living on their own planet. I don't really notice things going on around me or even listen long enough to what others are saying to answer correctly. This also makes me feel so spaced out and when I do pop out of my own head for a second and notice other things I find the stimmulation is almost too much on my nervous system and almost too much to bear. Anyone else feel this way. I know when the anxiety calms I am more observant and can handle more but I can't get the overwhelming anxiety to stop

I understand how you feel... The anxiety is horrible for me. most of the time i dont even know what i am anxious about. it just feels like something bad is always about to happen. that is the only way i can explain it... its really hard to do anything! i would just like to sit back and watch tv... or anything that would give me a break from the anxiety.

Same here, I have had this anxiety for three years and it causes me more problems to get anxious about.

I am sick of panicking, sick of being upset and sick of everything being such an effort and asking what's the point.

You are not alone, I promise.

My anxiety is just brutal right now.  I can't sit still or even watch tv.  Even when I'm just laying in bed with my earplugs in, I still can't seem to escape it.  Somebody please tell me it will subside.  :pokey:

Hi

Although I am still mid-taper, there are many who have gone through this, and the anxiety has subsided for them.

its pretty bad. It kinda comes in spurts and I just have to ride it out.

Going to ask Dr for a good a/d

It gets to the point I am getting too irritated with things and then get depressed.
