Body feels like one big irritated nerve

[Ho...]

Just wondering how many others feel like this. Especially since the 1 year mark, I've been having all kinds of nerve related symptoms. The sciatic has been one of the main ones, but all nerves seem to be affected. What also goes along with it, is a feeling of being "raw" inside and out, and it aches down into my extremities. My heart also pounds even harder than usual, and I get fatigued very easy and sweaty during these spells.

Then of course, there are the feelings of millions of bugs crawling under the skin of my legs, stinging and prickly feeling tissue,  and the bad foot pain that sometimes make it very painful to walk. This is not constant, but hits in waves.

I heard someone say on TV that they felt like their nerves where guitar strings being plucked by every stimuli. I definately feel raw. Everthing feels more intense; noises and especially smells! It's sad but I stay home so much more now because just being around people in the grocery store is too much stimuli.

Hey I have this too. S/x much worse in early w/d and continued severe until 5 months, has dropped now at 6 months.

The over stimuli is bad in mornings, during phone calls, talking to people. Feels like I will go mad if I dont get to a quiet place.

That's me!!!! I hate even the touch of fabric on my skin. The carpet at work (through my shoes!) drives me crazy. Everything is just so amplified. It really bit me in the butt once my a/d taper was done but it seems to be waning now.

Yip this is how I feel too at nearly 22 months.  Also the same I find crowds, being out & about, driving any long distance, etc etc etc, being out of quiet, noises, smells & stimli , taking information IN & trying to process it, FAR TOO OVERSTIMULATING it just makes me wanna yell or cry.

I'm now looking into "Bovine Colostrum" (or Cow's Colostrum) to help heal the damage to my entire CNS.  It makes sense to me that if I can heal that all these major problems will be helped!!!  As thats entirely what I believe it is the nerves are just totally RAW & dont have "protection" around them anymore.  Here's a link to my new post on the full story http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=48672.0. The Whole Natural Thyroid meds have lifted that blackest blackest fight-every-moment depression & anger too!!!

I dont just want to sit back & wait for natural healing cos this is entirely too lonely & frustrating to keep waiting...I have to keep taking scary trial & error proactive steps in order to help myself heal.  I've heard this stuff can help cure MS! in as little as a month (time will tell,  the proof is in the pudding).  I sure hope I am on the right track with this!!!

Feeling raw is exaclty how I described my feeling when I came home from 2 weeks in the hospital when they tried to take me off in 2 weeks. The stimuli was unbearable. Tom turned off the phone, kept the tv down so low could hardly hear it. It still gets bad, but thankfully has improved a great deal.

How far are you into your taper?

You know this will get better. The grocery thing was a problem for me too. Take care of yourself and if you need to stay home then do it.

Nerve pain has been my worst too.  It started when I reached tolerance and before I knew what the problems was.  The pain was mostly in my chest area and legs.  Then it went all over  - head to toe.  Over the past 2 - 3 months the chest area pain has gone away but not the rest.  I'm 18 months into this.  Most other symptoms - and I had a lot - have gone away or only come and go.  The nerve pain is constant.  I've found some relief with passion flower.

Thanks Joe, I'm down to 1.25 from 6mg Klonopin. I'm getting really impatient at this point and want to speed things up, but know it will bite me in the ass, so easy go it I go.
