relapse of insomnia, feeling crazy and miserable

I was doing so well!  And then last night, no sleep.  I want to crawl out of my skin I'm so anxious and exhausted and miserable.  I'm crazy scared about my health, which is much of the reason, besides hormones that I didn't sleep.  I had dry heaves this morning from stress.  I want to live for my kids!!  :'(

Are there any other women here experiencing PMDD?  I signed up for a PMDD forum, and then found out that nobody ever posts.  If you do, what are your symptoms?

I am so sorry :( I know how frustrating it can be to think you're getting better with sleep (so important  :'() and then fall back to having no sleep for awhile. Hold on and be strong though, sleep will come back to you again, if it has before then have faith that it will once more.

Now that you mention it....come to think of it, (sorry this may be too much information for some  ::) but............Im going to say it anyways!  :D) I have just come off my menstrual cycle for this month that lasted about 5 days of so. Literally two days ago. A week and a half prior to my period, I was having increasingly good sleep (a struggle for about two months now) . Then a couple days before the cycle began, I was feeling heavily exhausted after each night. It was extremely debilitating. Then during my period my sleep was all over the place, and not good at all. Now that It's over though, my sleep is returning again.

I now believe it is because of Progesterone, a hormone our bodies create to help us sleep better every month. A couple days before our cycles begin, the hormone production drops significantly or completely stops for a period of time..giving us more difficulty in sleeping. Perhaps this is happening to you on a more sensitive scale.

Yes, I read all about that.  I bought some bio-identical progesterone, but I'm still too afraid to use it.  The doctor that developed it says that you have to remove all xenoestrogens from your diet and environment before you try to use progesterone.  Now that's one daunting and expensive task!  Especially now that I know how many things contain them.
