Excercise and withdrawal

Has anyone else experienced an increase in symptoms when they excercise?  My muscle pains and the shooting pains come on worse when I do aerobics.

Yes. I've noticEd in the past month that after I work out on the morning I get dizzy, anxiety increases, I become very irritated and an increase in overall crappy feeling and this seems to be getting worse but I just push through.  I'm not going to give in to this. I will not allow this monster to lay claim to this part of my life. The monster has already take so much from me so I'm fighting as best as I can. Best of luck to you.

For me the pain and agitation was greatly influenced by my time off benzos.  These days I can work out and feel great after, but I still do get some nerve pain after (although not nearly as bad as before).

tonnii,

Yep.  When I tried to exercise I felt like I had the flu.  I read somewhere gentle exercise is best during w/d.  This is because w/d causes adrenal fatigue and when you exercise too hard it further stresses the adrenals.  Personally, I am taking it easy for now.  I hope to do yoga when I feel up to it but I am still in pretty bad shape right now.

It will get better and you will be able to do things like cardio again when your adrenals have recovered.  Good luck!

Most people seem to feel low to moderate exercise (both in intensity and duration) and some gentle stretching afterward, seems to help. Some cannot exercise at all. There are some who seem to like to really work out hard and feel this helps.

I find moderate, low impact exercise with gentle stretching helps me quite a bit.

I know I sound like I'm droning on because I say this in almost every post..but...everyone's different.
