Hi everyone -- I am just about to hit 10 mgs of valium. I am wondering what percentage a taper of .002 daily would be for a month. I have been on a .5 mg taper a month which is alternating between .002 and .001 daily. I have been acutely symptomatic since I started my taper almost three years ago. Slowig down, speeding up, holding, none of it makes any difference to my symptom levels.

Thank you

Carol

Hi @[Ca...]!  Hope you doing well today.  Are you asking for a percentage if you remove 0.002 mg per day?  If it is 0.002 mg, you overall percentage in 28 days would be 0.56%.

Or, are you asking for a percentage if you remove 0.002 grams per day?  If you want to remove 0.002 grams per day, we would need to know the average weight of 1 tablet.  Are your tablets 2 mg, 5 mg...?

Yes I am asking if I remove .002 from the weight of the tablet which is .169 I believe..it's a two mg Teva valium tablet

Thanks!!

@[Ca...] If you reduced 0.002 grams per day for 28 days, your overall percentage reduction would be about 6.6%.  You would be reducing from 10 mg to 9.34 mg.

Does that help?

Please, can you check this again? Maybe I don't understand the question and I am sorry if I am wrong but I think that 0.002 g per day are around 33% from 0.169 g for 28 days.

@[No...] Thanks for checking!  She is taking 5 of the 0.169 gram pills (10 mg).  Each 2 mg pill has an average weight of 0.169 grams...for a total daily dose of 0.845 grams (5×0.169). She reduces 0.056 grams (28×0.002)..for a 6.6% reduction.

Hope that makes sense!

It makes huge sense as I obviously don't read carefully. I think about 1 pill but they are 5🙂 Sorry again for bothering you.
