I'm in Canada.  Wondering, @[Li...], if you are familiar with this generic brand?  Appears to be what I have been on for years.

I use in within a water taper, and it breaks down into a pile of powder within a minute of hitting the water.  It's been so easy to use for my water taper which I do not use as a DLMT...I still utilize it as a cut and hold as opposed to shaving and weighing.

Have never seen anyone else mention this generic brand before.

Thanks!

Hello @[Fa...]. Good to hear from you as always.  Regrettably, I have no knowledge of this generic manufacturer (see Note 1).  I do know it’s not one of the ones available here in the US.

I’m delighted your tablets disperse quickly and uniformly when exposed to water.  As I’m sure you know, this is not the case with all generics.  So much for the ‘all generics are created equal’  narrative.

Continuing on that topic …

You have impressed me as being both intellectually curious and capable, so you might find the below-linked study of interest.  The net is that tablets from two different generic manufacturers of lorazepam required different volumes of suspending vehicle to prepare a pharmaceutically optimal suspension. Moreover, when stored at room temperature, the suspension prepared with tablets from one of the manufacturers was found to be unstable.

Note 1: I wonder if PMS is an abbreviation of this Canadian-based generic pharmaceutical manufacturer:

Pharmascience
(Pharmascience = PMS?)

Thank you, @[Li...].  I have wondered about stability within the water suspension with all that I have read here with others contemplating the decision.  Thank you for the link, also.

I started the water taper initially to do a DLMT.  However, the reason I did this was not so much because I wanted to but because I was not able to shave and weigh my tablets at the beginning.  I needed something easy at that time due the AKA.  I'm very grateful that the generic brand I am using has worked well.

It looks to me like Pharmascience is the manufacturer.  Thank you for looking into that for me.  Just one of those gnawing questions in the back of my mind I keep meaning to ask about.

Wow, given the thread name, I thought this would be on a whole other topic,

I thought about that after the fact!  LOL

I had the same initial reaction as @[Ro...].  But the subject heading definitely got my attention, @[Fa...]! 😂

That's my version of 'click bait'! :classic_wink:

But honestly...that ship has sailed for me.  They are just three letters to me now!
