@[Pa...]i feel better tonight thanks.  I had been getting those random feelings of dizziness before I started tapering. I also read it somewhere else that they also suffered with it from ambien. I cut last night. I decided to cut the 5mg into 4 and do it every 10-14 days depending on how I feel.

I'm relieved you're a little better, I like that you're going to use your symptoms to guide you.  Are you getting any sleep?

@[Pa...]i have been getting some sleep, not great but  used some melatonin and it helped me out a couple days now I have cbd gummies with melatonin hopefully they can help a little Bit too.  My symptoms come same time every day and leave around the same time, is that normal or will it change up?

I'm glad you've had some luck with some natural sleep aids.

What time do the symptoms come on @[Sf...]?  I would imagine they'd show up when your body has fully processed the medication out of your system, remember, we pretty much go cold turkey every day.

@[Pa...]usually a little while after I get up and around 5 they subside. So far not dizzy hopefully I won’t get dizzy today

I'm not sure I understand, the symptoms start after you get up and subside around 5, is this am or pm and what causes them to subside?  You don't take your dose that early, right?

Glad to hear you're not dizzy today, I hope it stays that way.

@[Pa...] I take my dose at midnight so it’s not early.  They subside around 5 at night from maybe around 10am.. anxiety is the constant and the inner restlessness is the worst so far.. 2 days into this cut

Okay, I understand now, it sounds like cortisol is making your daytime miserable if your symptoms don't settle until 5:00.  But, I've got a wild idea that maybe, just maybe your body clears the drug by 5:00 pm and you actually feel better with it out of your system.  That would be wonderful because that means you may only suffer insomnia once you're free of the zolpidem.  I sure hope my wild theory is true.

@[Pa...] if only I could get away with some insomnia instead of horrible things, I wish we could all get away with smooth transitions.

@[Pa...] I wanted to let you know that I am on my last crumb of the ambien and haven’t had any bothersome withdrawal since cutting down this last time so I think I’m just going to drop it tonight and see how it goes.. I’m not going to lie the only thing that is making me worry is the insomnia but I’ll be done with it.. so maybe your wild idea was correct 🙂

I'm excited for you @[Sf...], I felt so much better once I got that crap was out of my system.  To me, it acts more like other medications, the kind that let go of you once you quit taking them, definitely not like benzodiazepines.

Please let us know how it goes, okay?  I want to be able to tell Ambien users they can feel better off the drug than on it, sure, sleep will still be a challenge but not sleeping is a minor thing compared to the other stuff it does to us.

I was telling my friend the other day that I actually look forward to going to bed now.  Its become a safe and restful place, I hope the same happens for you.

@[Pa...] thank you! I will keep you updated, I hope that other ambien users have the same experience, I never imagined how this medication just turns on you and makes you feel crazy during tolerance withdrawal, these and benzos should be banned,,

Ambien free, that's great!  What about other symptoms @[Sf...], are you still feeling a lot of anxiety and fear?

@[Pa...] I’m not having anxiety or fear just the rls and insomnia right now

Thats a definite improvement!  Have you ever had RLS, are you prone to it?

I’ve never had it before tapering off, hopefully it will go away soon..
