Morning Final l have to say l really do hope the depression lifts as you get lower.lt is all luck really there are no guarantees however it definitely happens for some so l will keep everything crossed for you.As for the fixation on the taper l don't think that ever goes away in my experience.l think that is definitely a withdrawal symptom.l think we all become very obsessive in our way of thinking so that has been with me from the word go.That is just my experience.Hang in there my lovely you are doing well.love to you.X

As much as I love Christmas I'm glad it's done and you can add the new year's celebration in there as well. It was an exhausting year period.

 

Disney on ice was great! I absolutely loved it, I was mesmerized by the skaters 😃 I would definitely go again 👍

 

So far sobriety is winning with my son, he made it through the holidays, thankfully, without any relapse. He has another child on the way so he better give this go round his all 🙄🙏

 

This cut for me so far is going good nothing to complain about as of yet 🤞 day 7 of the cut today. We know there's a lag time with benzos so we'll see if anything comes in a few days or so but I'm hoping NOT 🙏

 

Rest your bones my lovely twin we have to do it all again (the holidays) in 11 more months 💃

Hello LHSG'ers,

Hope the day treated everyone well. It was rainy and damp here today, depressing 😔

 

My kitties are still in their safe room/bedroom we're thinking of letting them explore a few rooms in the house on Sunday. They are trying to follow me out of their room so I think it's time to give them more freedom. Should be exciting 😳 anyone with cats here I'm open to suggestions/ tips for scratching, which speaking of scratching Eli got me good! 12 scratches on one hand! I was a bloody mess. I tried to weigh him on a kitchen food scale and he freaked and I paid the price! I have 5 bandaids on one hand ☹️ he's since apologized to me in kitty speak,I swear I heard him🤥  :laugh:

Honestly this place is turning into a ghost town.lt does seem to go like this from time to time.l would imagine a lot of people are feeling the aftermath of the holidays.l hope everyone is doing ok?

Morning Troch l hope the pain has eased this morning?l have found and l have to say it is weird the better l sleep the worse withdrawal seems to be the next day.l know it makes absolutely no sense however that seems to be my pattern.l know you are going to struggle with the appointment on Tuesday but you will get through it.Try not to cancel this time.Stay strong honey.love to you.X

Morning Suzy people with anxiety definitely don't like their routine disrupted.l think it really stresses us.l have to say l do get very uneasy around everyone l do tend to feel very uncomfortable in my own skin if that makes sense.l think it is just caused by excessive adrenaline and l counter it with walking.lt doesn't stop it however it does bring it down to a dull roar love you.X

Thanks for giving me a little push to go and have the CT-scan done. I will take it this time,  even if it kills me, which I 'm sure it won't.

The cleaning of the colon and diarrhea that comes with it, are what are bothering me the most.

O, forgot to mention: hardly any pain this night and morning, despite having slept just 4 hours.

Hi Dusty. It's really unfortunate that on top of going through benzo withdrawal, they've stopped commercializing her antidepressant. I think it's a good sign that she started to have some windows. Even if she's having windows, her improvement will be very slow after such a big crash so it's better not to expect fast improvements and to be thankful for the few windows she has. I would hold the rivotril for a very very long time. Then I hope they solve the problem with that antidepressant. You did a great job getting it from Canada. It's a shame that the formulation is different. I hope she can at least stabilize on her antidepressant. The benzo hold will take a while to make her feel better. She's very lucky to have such a supportive husband and with you by her side I hope she stabilizes. It's important to stress that after such a crash and the change in her AD, stabilizing will take months, not weeks. I'm glad you found us.

we have been on RIVOTRIL and and antidepressant NARDIL[maoi] for 28 years 12 months ago after years of tolerance withdrawals which was only discovered through the internet

just an update we haven't touched the rivotril and don't intend to for a long time  unfortunately if it was the canadian nardil or not  my wife was up to about maybe 30% and has

crashed to being totally in massive fear, panic ,to the point of feeling really ill (struggling in all ways) .she seems to have fallen further than she has been before. I Understand

that nothing is going to happen to her but in her mind she feels not here(if that makes sense)  i was wondering if this is a big wave that has hit her  thanks for your advice

i have no regard for the medical profession  So we went to a new Dr and was told we had to come off the benzo started at 5 mg within 8 months got down to 2.375  went through absolute

hell not being able to function at all unable to shower just hot wash massive panic non stop just sat on her bed with acrophobia ect ect ect      the Dr said you have to keep cutting .25 every 2 weeks

that is when we found this group and decided to hold and left that Dr after 3 months my wife had tiny windows for the first time thought we were on our way .  Then PHIZER decided to put a hold on

production of the ANTIDEPRESSANT NARDIL so i am in Australia and finally got some from Canada but the formulation is slightly different and was too strong on 3x15mg [totally sedating to the point

of sleeping at the drop of a hat] so cut the NARDIL to 2.5 tablets now after a week off crashed to where we were before only hoping after holding on this it will lift again

Hi Dusty, I'm sorry you're going through this ordeal. If I understood, she was holding on the benzo and had started having some windows. She was also on a dose of antidepressant that was making her too sleepy. Then you cut the antidepressants a week ago and she's gotten much worse. As she's in such a delicate state, I wouldn't cut the antidepressants nor the benzo for a long time. I'd try to find a benzo wise doctor in Australia, one that is in the line of holding both her drugs for a long time until she really feels better. She's so unstable that I would not dare cut anything, especially as she was already showing some improvement. If she starts feeling just a little bit better and she makes a change in her meds immediately, usually her destabilized CNS can't take it. We need to be stable again before we start cutting again. It would be so good for both of you to find a benzo wise Dr in Australia. We have some Australian buddies, like Cantfly, Deadwoodgone, Southern Star... I'd open a thread in the withdrawal section entitling it "benzo wise doctors in Australia". I hope she gets better again. Please realize that all I've said is based only on my own experience tapering antidepressant and benzos, and on all I've read on benzo buddies and survivingantidepressants.com. This in no way should be the only opinion you take into account in such a delicate matter, and it's just an opinion of one person. If you can afford it, I'd insist on looking for that benzo wise doctor. Meanwhile, when we're totally unstable, in this long hold group we hold all our meds to give our cns a chance to rest from all the changes. If you haven't read the post called "valleys propaganda" let me know and I'll post it for you.

Hi Dusty l am really sorry you and your wife are dealing with this.This is going to take a very long time with lots of ups and downs sadly that is the norm for withdrawal.l need to ask is your wife being made to taper or did she want to get off the med?l think Valley has given you good advice however l really don't know if there is such a thing as a benzo wise doctor.ln my opinion if you can find a doctor that will prescribe the drug and allow your wife to taper off at her pace that is the best thing.To be honest when it comes to withdrawal symptoms there really is very little they can do.Now your wife will improve however it will take longer than both of you would like.Try not to change anything med wise until everything settles down.l know this is going to be as hard for you as you will want to do something however the best thing to do is nothing and let time do the rest.Stay strong.X

yes totally agree that everything will be left.  the history of the nardil tablet was originally made by a company called Park Davis and had a hard coating that only had to be in the cupboard

(which we never had a problem with) then it was sold to Pfizer who changed the coating to a m&m style shell which needed to be refrigerated and a lot of people had a lot of trouble

with this new coating (a lot had to be updosed to get the same effect) now the new one from canada has the hard coating.  so the one from pfizer after doing a lot of research dissolved

too quickly which was not getting the same effect so people would have to take more tablets(good for the company shit for the patients) so when our dr changed us over we just went with

the same dose but because the new tablet doesn't dissolve until it gets to your small intestine you get the whole effect of the dose. Because my wife is sensitive to any medication(two out of

three of her enzymes only operate at 75%) thats why it was reduced unfortunately this all happened after a long hold on her benzo and finally saw some light .  we are now under the guidance

of recconexion (who specialise in benzo and other prescription medication withdrawal) and work with our doctor but they have been closed over xmas and our counsellor from reconnexion

should be back this week.  thanks again  i would love to read" valleys propaganda" and i will def look into "benzo wise drs in aus" thanks again

Hi Everyone,

 

Experiencing a new symptom for me, which is internal trembling.  It starts in the morning, different than my usual morning anxiety, eases a bit during the day but then back at night till my medication hits.

 

I'm not shaking externally, my hands are steady but it's this feeling of fear inside and very anxious.  I was thinking that as my nervous system becomes less sedated, that this is the result.  I'm still trying to walk most days and do a little work but this chemical fear has me scared. 

 

Anyone else deal with it or have any suggestions?  I do take magnesium and bite off little bits throughout the day because if I take a whole magnesium pill, I get sleepy on top of all ready being medicated.

I have a type of inner trembling. It is usually if i take a nap. I wake up and can feel my insides trembling. I hate it. I had it before after a cut. It felt like my insides were trembling and rumbling. It went away after i help for a while. Still get it during naps, but not when i am awake. I hope you feel better. Ly dd
