DD and Intend, it took me a long time to to the Ticker and then to do these emojis.  It takes all the patience I have until I get the first one, then I have to practice like crazy.  That's why you see emojis everywhere today.  But truthfully, once you do the first one, it gets easier each time.

I was determined to do Pepper because none of our emojis represent her.  ;):smitten: :smitten:

Good morning LHSG hoping everyone has a better day.

Morning Intend yes much ado about nothing.l don't believe l will enjoy Xmas as l totally disagree with the way Xmas has become about avarice and greed .l am not tight with money however l have no time for this forced spending for two days. When l was a child l absolutely loved Xmas we didn't have a lot of money so when we got presents they meant so much.My granny fed the neighbours at Xmas it was about helping those who were worse off.Mum was exactly the same and l try to follow in their footsteps.l think there is so much sadness at Xmas and people tend to choose to forget what Xmas should be about.l will be doing dinner on New year's Day however it will be Italian food.l would actually vomit if l had to face turkey and ham again.I am glad you got through Xmas and can you please clone Dan and send him over here 😳. love to you and Dan.X

Morning Trish where are these kittens?l know you want them to look their best 🤔we just want to see them 😳.Get them up there.Glad you enjoyed Xmas l know you love it.Now it's time to join the gym 😧. love you my lST X

. Morning Troch l am glad l could give you a laugh 😂😂. Well l just say it as l see it.Honestly l think humour is necessary l know it has got me through most things in my life.l hope you are starting to feel a little better honey.love to you.X

Morning Lady Mary awe Hen l am delighted to see you getting out more honestly that has made my day.l know you are still suffering honey however you will suffer no matter where you are so you may as well have a change of scenery.l will be on when l can my daughter is back today so probably next week sometime.love you my lady Mary HenX

. Morning Suzy l hope you get your eyes checked l would certainly forget about the contacts at this time. You enjoy your lurk honey.love you.X

. Morning Janice, Feeling, Gilly Free Esperanza Valley Bill Dave GP Miyu Nova NJ Olive and everyone here sending you my love.Hopefully you will drop in and let us know how you are doing.X

I've missed you woman! And how very sweet that you're worried about my ever growing Trishy trunk

No gym for me though twin I'm allergic to exercise  ;)

I'm having new year's Day dinner too! It's a turkey dinner by request! A nice frozen butterball turkey is defrosting in my fridge! It'll be another Thanksgiving Day dinner around here. Do you have butterball turkeys over there or just the Charles Dickens Christmas goose?

Anyway twin you know I love you and I wish you the happiest New Year. I'll be saying that again as we near the day! I hope you're coming to intends rocking new year's eve LHSG party! 🎊🎉🎇🎉🥳🎊💃

KITTIES!!!! I love them! I can tell they are so very adorable. Thank you TTT for posting them again! Kittens are hard to take photos of because they are always on the go. Have to catch them when they are being little angels... sleeping!

I had a tough travel day. It was about 7 hours total and I didn't feel very well the whole time. Glad to be home. Nighty night all.

Hello Everyone

Trishy, thanks for thinking of me.  I’ve been pretty busy with the holidays, and like you said, Trishy, it was nice but it got to be a little much.  I’m glad for some quiet time.

I decided to taper off my trazodone the last couple weeks and took my last dose a week before Christmas.  I think it did hit me a little with some symptoms, one day some pretty bad brain zaps (always seem to hit while I’m driving, just to make things a little more exciting!). Then on Christmas Eve most of the day I had pretty strong depression.  Cleared up enough to enjoy the evening so I’m thankful for that.  Been very slowly feeling better again later this week.  Good to be off one more med!

I hope you all had a good Christmas, and wish you a happy new year!  It’s the end of another decade.  Dang, starting to get old I guess.  Oh well.

Take care, and keep moving forward!

Bill

Hi Bill. You seem to be feeling quite stable in your Ativan taper or you wouldn't be tapering the trazodone. I'm very glad it's so. I'm on trazodone for sleep, and my dose is 50 mgs. Would you mind telling me what dose you were on? I guess you're sleeping much better now and that's why you decided to quit it. Thanks for sharing the experience. That's how we all learn.

Morning Valiumnomore,  how are you at the moment?

Hi Troschetter. Thanks for asking. Well you know, the usual symptoms and trying to focus on my tasks and not waiting for my symptoms to ease because that always turns out to be very frustrating. How are you today? Did the pain let you sleep last night?

Hi Valiumnomore,  I admire the way you handle your symptoms!    I suppose it's the best way to do. The ebbing and flowing of this awful adventure is often very frustrating. I had a couple of more or less OK days, but yesterday afternoon benzo struck back at me hard. I overdid it with the walks I take. So last night was a bad one! A couple of hours of broken sleep and waking up early in much pain. But I think it's mostly caused by Fibromyalgia. My whole upper body is hurting, muscles stiff and painful. This morning I got up feeling exhausted and nauseous. Those symptoms had been gone for a couple of days. I realized I' ve been dreaming about my symptoms and possible other diseases in the last week or two. Always dreaming they are fatal ones and I am going to die soon. Felt depressed by it this morning. Now that I've had a shower, had breakfast and a bit of walking through the livingroom a few times, things are starting to feel better. So maybe it's all benzo  playing it's awful tricks on my brain.

Hope we all may have a pleasant Sunday.

Still waiting for the final test results for Lyme's. Neurological symptoms are still getting worse. I talked to a man a few days ago. He used to go to the gym 6 days a week, but noticed he couldn't lift those weights anymore. And while playing golf, felt exhausted even before he had reached the 9th hole. Had tests done in the same specialist hospital I went to in November, and was diagnosed with neuro -Borillioses. Has had iv. antibiotics for a months and is now in the process of recovery.  I feel very scared about it all. Benzo,  Fibromyalgia and possibly Lyme's. It all sucks!  :(

Good morning LHSG hoping everyone has a better day.

Morning Troch sorry to hear you had a bad night.l will say this going through benzo withdrawal with health anxiety is so difficult the possibility for illnesses are endless.Sadly the brain regulates every system in our bodies so the withdrawal symptoms are very varied and can really cause health anxiety to spiral.l really do hope you get all your results soon honey however reassurance doesn't last long with health anxiety.l will say this everything you have is very common in withdrawal and this is probably the best time to tackle the health anxiety.Just take today as a rest day do what you can and give yourself plenty of tlc.love to you.X

Morning Janice any sightings of baldy over the Xmas period? How is your daughter getting on?I think all we can do is get on with it.Waiting isn't my strong suit so l will keep on going.l will say this when you are talking to your doctor try not to say you are worrying about being taken in to hospital. He will see that as catastrophic thinking and he won't play into it.Put a positive spin on it by saying you are very passionate about your taper and you really would hate it to be derailed after everything you have been through so if perhaps he could put on your record that you are to be kept on diazepam with a view to tapering off you would be very grateful.Just my thoughts honey.l hope you have a better Sunday.love you.X

Morning Twiny awe the wee pets.l am happy for you honey.l don't know about frozen turkey's l am sure they come that way.l have to say my love you never miss a post from me so your brain isn't too bad.You know l will always have your back honey.l love the bones of you and a happy new year to you too my lovely.love you my lST X

. Morning Olive proud of you honey you really are doing so well. Now rest yourself and don't push yourself too hard.Take a couple of days to yourself you have earned them.love you.X

Morning NJ l am so happy to see you here sadly l wish it was with better news.l think you must be a little more forceful with the doctor.l think sometimes we have to be.As for your sister she does sound a bit jealous. It will work itself out one way or another.Let us know how you get on with the doctor.love to you.X

Morning Suzy l am glad your headache has lifted.Oh the joy of benzo withdrawal.Hang in there honey.love you.X

Morning Bill good to hear from you.Glad you are still doing reasonably well.love to you.X

Morning lady Mary did you post that cat for Sox as well as pepper or are you ignoring her as well?😧Poor pet.l hope you are feeling a little better today.l still think you are improving.Keep holding honey.love you my lady Mary HenX

Morning Intend Gilly Valley Free Meems Nova Miyu Esperanza Final Dave GP and everyone here hoping everyone has a withdrawal free Sunday.XHappy New Year to all on the LHSG.X

Hey guys thought I'd join the group as recommended by Mary:)

I have a very weird symptom that's been bothering me, it's always in my right ear and it feels like my ear drum us being oversensitive like you know when the pressure changes in the environment and you have this banging drum sound like your going under water.

Oh better example when your flying and the altitude changes. It keeps happening every day and a lot. I went to the Dr for it he says it could be just blood pressure changes?

Has anyone experienced this symptom?

Thanks

Hi MMXV and welcome to the group. I have found this is a good group to be in while holding, because people don't push you into cutting. You will see this is a bit like a chat but don't be put off. Anyone who's decided to do a long hold belongs to this group and the main purpose of the group is to help everyone who's decided to hold for a while. Unfortunately I have no idea about the ear symptoms you're having. When people wake up, hopefully someone will have some knowledge about that. Have you tried to look it up in the search tool to see if anything comes up?

Thank you for the warm welcome valiumnomore :)

I'm certainly going to hold for a little longer on the current dose especially as other members said it's not unusual to hold for several months. I have looked into it but it just talks about tinnitus which is definitely not it's not a big deal just curious if others had this symptom.

Mary a member who also responded suggested something very important to listen to your body and keep a note of your symptoms.

I've been doing things the other way round and just focusing  on the taper and had a set date to finish. I think listening to your body and adjusting the taper as you go along is the way to go.

Yes this is a very fast moving group:)

I had a bad wave for the last two days so catching up with the forum.

I've decided to jump off promethazine completely, I feel it's for the better. I'm 48hrs off it. Been up for 48hrs so far but no biggie been up for a week before. Although today had enough of lying in bed trying to get to sleep so third day no sleep started okay with yoga.  :o

I'm not sure if anyone has tried this matcha powder, I just made a hot chocolate whizz with it. Hoping for a caffeine buzz to get me through today but it's very calming yet with a feeling of clarity. Fingers crossed I sleep tonight important day tomorrow argh

Hope everyone's having a relaxing Sunday  8)

Hi everyone,  hope you all enjoyed Christmas.

MMXV, I know what you mean. I have it too. Thankfully just in one ear, the left one. My ear drum reacts to all kinds of sounds by drumming very strangely ( a bit like a machine gun being fired)  as, like you said,  needing readjusting when changing altitude. It's not always there, though. I don't think, in my case,  it's something to do with withdrawal, I've had it for many years. Had lots of ear issues in the past.

Hope you"ll be OK soon.

Morning Trochsetter, yes your description is spot on it's just like a drumming sound. It's not like I hear it it's more like my ear drum feels like it's going in out in out always been the right ear which causes a drumming sound like a base. Very odd I've started to get it on my left ear last night for the first time just briefly. It's not worrying now that I bear others have had the same symptom I was almost going to ask my gp to go see a ear specialist.

You say this symptom is not related to your withdrawal, did you manage to get a diagnosis? Or name for it? Has it improved at all? I had an infection in my left ear at 21 and was deaf for about two weeks in one ear had to see a ear specialist to rule out cancer. Upto this date I still don't get how I got an infection in my ear but within a couple of days antibiotics cleared it. It freaked me out I thought at first I'm going deaf and got a cab to a&e right away.

Oh have you tried acupuncture for your fibromyalgia? My friend swears by it.

Thanks I hope your feeling better soon also
