Hi LHSG

I unfortunately had depression yesterday but managed to pull through the day.  I actually managed 2 edible holiday meals but feeling low.

Going for a walk now. Maybe it will help

Hey DD, yes, get that eye checked out, before hopefully you wake up with it in as bad a shape as Intends.  Mine are tired but for right now, that seems about all.  So glad you had a good Christmas.

She knows a lot about the different drops too, and at one point, it was taking up a lot of her day just doing drops.  You know if I am remembering, it was after she had a generic change too.  If you read this Intend, is that right?  Do you have an eye Dr you go to on regular basis?  While they couldn't fix it, they can tell you if you need to see the specialist,. Which will keep things more simple if that's not what's wrong.  And they are just really dry and you need special drops.  Love you girlfriend.  Let me know how you are?  MM.  ♥️♥️♥️

I’m reading right now Mary. Just took another look at my notebook for my taper and of course, I am having difficulty figuring out what I did and when.

I did see that the corneal cut happened on June 22 which was @30 days after my completed change from Actavis clonazepam to the Teva clonazepam ODTS. Both my eyes had been red and sore before that.

I had been mulling over what optometrist to see before that happened. The optometrist we had seen for years could not make up his mind whether to retire or open a stand alone office. We had been going to Shopko there for years where he was. But Shopko across entire US have been closing down. Haven’t called over there for the longest time, but last I talked to receptionist, he did get a stand alone office way over in West Valley where we used to live.

I’ll start rambling again, so the drops this new guy I went to wanted me to use for that corneal tear are the Systane preservative free by Alcon that come in individual vials of 30. Using those, my corneal tear healed completely from that Saturday to the following Monday. But they irritated my other eye (left one.) And then a buddie here on BB suggested using the Bausch and Lomb preservative free Soothe vials (28 vials). So I’ve been using the Systane at night, and the Bausch and Lomb during the day.

And there have been days when my left eye gets irritated by both and other days when both feel fine using both kind of drops. But such is the nature of benzos and for me, clonazepam. I take no supplements whatsoever, but have unfortunately been switched around 6 times on generic clonazepam.

DD, just make an appointment with either a good optometrist or ophthalmologist. Either one can identify your eye problem. The ophthalmologist is more specialized and can do surgery if needed, but maybe not needed at all. I’m not needing surgery yet myself so no need to be concerned until necessary.

Morning/afternoon everyone.  Hope you all had a special Christmas.  I am ready for things to settle down and get back to normal.  Lol, not that tapering is normal.  Love you all and hope things are some better for all of us.  Mary ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I feel the same way, Mary. We still have New Years to go though. Call me the grinch, but this holiday stuff is getting on my nerves big time. Feel like hiding in a closet until January.

But then it just revolves around to same stuff the next year. Too much “fun” for me anymore. 🤪🌟🌟

🌹  ❤️💚❤️💚

Brad (Mary’s Brad) gave Dan the Disney channel for Christmas because he likes it himself. I grew out of all things Disney when I was maybe 8 years old. Well, what I mean is the Disney channel for movies. Dan watched that movie “the Santa Clause” with Tim Allen and then “Avatar” both, and we were up till 2 am last night. We just stay up too late.

And then too much commotion over here.

I thought I remembered it being around another change and DD has just been through one .  Hope it is something simple that can be fixed with drops.  My weak left eye is taking a benzo beating, doesn't hurt, just can't see very well.  You and Dan do stay up too late but I think Dan will really enjoy that channel.  See if Pets Alive or Pets Alive 2 is on there.  I never watch animated movies, but Pets Alive 2 was really cute and funny.  We just got interested in it one afternoon and watched it.  Yep, I have eat too much, done way more than normal, falling asleep,  I think it's time holidays ended.  I really am so glad things went well with Mary and Brad for Christmas.  I have some issues, mostly muscle of course, but did better than I hoped getting out with Tim one day than my friend, doing all the driving and acting pretty damn normal.  Yes, I can be normal  :D

Love you and Dan, give that gorgeous pussycat pets for me, Mary 🚂🚂🌹🌹🐈🐾🐾

Hey DD, my left eye is really annoying me now.  We have a lot of cedar trees north of us, and now is the time for cedar fever, all this powder like stuff blows off the trees and heads this way.  It makes a lot of people have terrible allergies.  It's never really bothered me, but I am wondering about my damn left eye.  They both started about the same time .....grrrrrr.

I am glad you have an appointment for yours, hope it just needs some drops or something simple.

I just emailed enso, we will see if I get a response.  Keep your fingers crossed.  Love ya girlfriend,

Mary ♥️♥️

I’m thinking DD’s problem can be solved by the eye drops. But better to see someone  first to find out if something is wrong.

I just will not allow Dan to be a “television hog.” The dish network still has the Disney channels 172 and 173 if he gets desperate to watch Disney.

Dan and I have seen tons of movies over the years, but this shows me how I’ve outgrown so many of them. When I look for movies we have seen, I go to Wikipedia and look up people who made different movies or I just remember a person. I really like Ryan Gosling, so I looked up his  movies. And I’ve now remembered another one-the upside of anger with Joan Allan and Kevin Costner. One thing or another will triggered a memory of these really good movies so we look for the free ones on amazon prime, Netflix, HBO now, and now this Disney channel.

Dish lost HBO sometime last year so this HBO now comes in handy. I spend a lot of time on Wikipedia looking things up.

I just ate probably too much myself. Got into all those “treats” that the neighbors  have brought us. Just figure we have to get rid of them before Dan can get them.

Last night, Dan did most of the work washing dishes, carving ham and turkey. At one point, he had to go out to the garage to eat dinner because he got so hot. Blake went out there also for the same reason.

We haven’t heard anything from Mary and Brad today, and it’s kind of a relief. We are completely worn out. Trying to even talk was next to impossible. Where is my kitty anyway? Probably laying in front of a furnace vent. No worries about Pepper, Mary.

Shes our favorite kitty in the entire world 🌎 . 🌹  ❤️💚❤️💚

I'm with you Mary. I'm so done! Love Christmas but I am ready for it all to get back to normal. I'm beyond exhausted. I feel so keyed up. I am craving peace and quiet. Love my kids and grandkids but too much togetherness lately and would love a break from them all. I'm grateful to have enjoyed the fall and Christmas but things need to settle down. Went to movies today with grandkids to see Frozen 2 then had a dinner and cake at my house for my daughter's birthday. She's 34 today! Can't believe it! I was 22 when I had her, seems like forever ago 😢.. anywho, I'm rambling so I'll leave it there.

DD, my change was from Activas to Teva ODTs. But I am feeling the effects of those 6 changes.

I don’t have allergies to anything that I know of, so for me it’s all about clonazepam. Definitely go see an ophthalmologist to see what’s going on.  :smitten:

I thought we would get snow. We had early snow at the end of November when I fought to get the snow tires on. When I say “fought” I’m mean everywhere we went, the parking lots were filled with people trying to get snow tires on. The snow was just coming down so fast, and we finally just gave up.

But it’s not snowed hardly at all since then. A flake here and there. I think major snowstorms might come in January and February. Either that or we got those tires on for nothing. The neighbors all seem to think we need a new Honda with all wheel drive. Apparently, 4 wheel drive and all wheel drive are not the same thing.

I thought they were the same thing. But what do I know about cars. Hardly anything. 🤪🤪 :idiot::(

Hey guys thought I'd join the group as recommended by Mary:)

I have a very weird symptom that's been bothering me, it's always in my right ear and it feels like my ear drum us being oversensitive like you know when the pressure changes in the environment and you have this banging drum sound like your going under water.

Oh better example when your flying and the altitude changes. It keeps happening every day and a lot. I went to the Dr for it he says it could be just blood pressure changes?

Has anyone experienced this symptom?

Thanks

Hi MMXV and welcome to the group. I have found this is a good group to be in while holding, because people don't push you into cutting. You will see this is a bit like a chat but don't be put off. Anyone who's decided to do a long hold belongs to this group and the main purpose of the group is to help everyone who's decided to hold for a while. Unfortunately I have no idea about the ear symptoms you're having. When people wake up, hopefully someone will have some knowledge about that. Have you tried to look it up in the search tool to see if anything comes up?

Hi everyone,  hope you all enjoyed Christmas.

MMXV, I know what you mean. I have it too. Thankfully just in one ear, the left one. My ear drum reacts to all kinds of sounds by drumming very strangely ( a bit like a machine gun being fired)  as, like you said,  needing readjusting when changing altitude. It's not always there, though. I don't think, in my case,  it's something to do with withdrawal, I've had it for many years. Had lots of ear issues in the past.

Hope you"ll be OK soon.

Good morning MMXV and welcome to the LHSG.Yes l have had that withdrawal symptom l had it while in tolerance so it has been with me on and off for many years.l assume it is to do with the gaba receptors in the ear however l am not sure.l just accept it and get on with it.l also can hear my heart beat when it happens.l have actually never really thought about it much just one of those joyous withdrawal symptoms.Try not to worry about it hopefully it will ease off.love to you.X

Hello all, so, at least some of us have survived Christmas. More or less, anyway...

Morning Stut, your remark: " stick a fork in me, I' m done" made my day. Thank you! I couldn't stop laughing for a couple of minutes. Brilliant way of expressing how most of us feel right now.

It's turned a little colder here today,  but lots of sunshine. Perhaps,  if I can find some leftover strength, I' ll  go for a walk this afternoon. Now I'm tired. Went to the supermarket first thing this morning and had a haircut just now. Time for lunch.

Hope we all have a doable day.
