I can't seem to eat the right foods due to migraine everytime i eat. I heard about something called glutamate. Is there any ideas on what i should be eating so i don't feel this miserable n in pain after foods. Ate a banana today with 2 egg yolks n it's been a nightmare for 2 hours now.

There is a book called Heal your headache. It's been a lifesaver for me. I used to have several migraines a week and it's down to a couple a month. The doctor who wrote it says food triggers are mainly to blame. Bananas are an absolute no. So is chocolate, caffeine, red wine, aged cheese, artificial sweetness and MSG. I definitely recommend the book. If I eat a banana, I get a migraine every time.

Same here, extreme food sensitivity since jumping.

Search online for low glutamate food you will find tons info. Unfortunately all food high in protein contains glutamate.

A few definite no on top of srr listed, tomato, mushroom, soy sauce, nuts, meat.

This food sensitivity is very challenging when it got too extreme like I have. Can only eat rice, potato, carrots, some veggies and couple fruit, eggs are ok for me plus small portion of white fish

I'll look up some stuff. It's just kind of limited n going to be something to get used to. Does it get any better? Can i get back to regular eating or are we all stuck eating like this?

Don't know yet. My sensitivity keeps getting more severe, not only to food but also to all chemicals like hair dye, insecticide. Everything ramps up severe reactions.

If this won't resolve eventually, hard to survive the rest of my life.

I was reading some articles today n yes they are all so depressing because of what we're all going through. But it's very interesting to know why the headaches are coming in. It sucks but weirdly if i eat steak meat cooked only in olive oil pan seared it doesn't bother me. Organic zucchini 3 days straight now. Chicken breast boiled gave me migraine last night..egg whites were fine also. Plus peeled apple helped.

Great finding Letty!

Has anyone tried their service?

I don't know what help they can provide giving that I can't eat much at all and already limited to a few food items.

Wow, another falulous finding!

I hope you've read them. They're very helpful.

Yes. I did before replying your previous post.

How are you doing? I hope this is not a big issue for you as you are still tapering.

My sensitivity or more accurately the glutamate storm only started after I jumped off.

I don't even know anymore to be honest. Today the tremors have been horrible. I have them right now. I don't know if it's cuz i took my dose late or eating a banana. Plus I've been a mess emotionally today too. The cold weather doesn't help me either.

The food situation started a few months ago. I think coming of klonopin n switching right back to lorazepam did it because in the past i was eating just fine until switched back to lorazepam only 1mg a day until i was told here that it was too fast of taper. Foods n appetite switched from late November n the sweating n tremors plus vertigo kicked in fast. I don't know how. I just keep reading also about something called taurine and i don't know if that's safe or helpful. I need to eat but i just can't.

I'm so sorry you are in so much suffering too! These drugs are simply too dangerous to play with. I am not familiar with the two meds you take. Can only home it will stabilize soon. Please do a very slow taper if you are ok to take them, and be very accurate in both dose and time. I am totally destroyed in many ways due to the super fast taper in the begining, thought the 4 wks use is safe to drop fast. Bloody lessons.

If not for the sensitivity, I should have some improvement now 7.5 months off, but setbacks from food or chemicals every other day kept me in the same or sometimes worse than acute. I feel the key in bwd is not to sensitized the nerve system, which can only be achieved by super slow taper

I don't seem to have any reaction to meat if it's prepared with no sauces contains msg. Also, boiled eggs don't bother me. Lemon is a huge trigger but I can eat apples and most other fruits. I love veggies and don't have any issues with them. You might have to experiment and see. If you get the book I mentioned earlier he will suggest that you eliminate a ton of foods but then slowly add things back in to see how you react. You might not have the same triggers as someone else.

Thank you both for the information. I'm hoping i can manage to eat today a little better. It's pretty challenging especially when you actually start feeling hungry but don't have the right foods at home. I'll try eggs again n the peeled apple. They say apple is good without the skin. I'm glad we're all here for each other.❤
