Many years on meds

Hi, I will be 54 in March. I have been on psych meds for over 20 yrs. I was on Ativan, Restoril, Trazadone, Zoloft and Gabapentin all those years. 2 years ago decided taper off some. My biggest hurdle is having memory issues when started to taper Restoril. I tapered off Ativan, Gaba and Trazadone with minimal withdrawal setbacks but am at a stall now.

Hello tabbycat3, Welcome to BenzoBuddies!

It sounds like the last of the bunch is causing the most issues, its pretty typical for this to happen.  As the last of the drug is leaving your body, your brain has the most repair work to do to gain it's function back.  Can you tell us what dose you're currently on and what your symptoms are?

We can help you plan a long taper of the last of it, check out our  Planning Your Withdrawal (Taper Plans) board to see the methods we support and if you'd like to discuss your symptoms with others fill free to post on the Withdrawal Support (during your taper) board.

We're glad you've found us, let us know how we can help.

Pamster
