Hi, my second posting of the day. Just hoping to get some reassurance as having a really bad day.  So scared as have been online and have seen some really scary postings. My symptoms still feel as though I am in acute, my sleep has got worse and not better i feel seriously sick and in  pain. I'm 9 months out and feel I should have seen some improvement by now. How is everyone else doing at 9 months out? Best wishes Hope

Hi Hope180

Sorry you are suffering.

You said you are nine months out.  Please update your signature so people know what you were on and for how long.

You are making the same mistake I made and I am sure many others have too?  Expecting to see some progress by a certain time frame.  Unfortunately WD/Recovery is unique to everyone and no two are alike.  No one can predict when you will start to feel better or make some progress.

You'll get there, but it just takes time and more time. There's no rhyme or reason to Benzo WD and it's 1 step forward 2 steps back with symptoms that WAX and wane over time.  New symptoms might appear out of the blue and old symptoms might fade for a month or two only to return again.  But eventually they all fade away and do not come back.  It's a real roller coaster ride for most.

I felt great when I got a window for a few hours or few days, then was majorly depressed when I got slammed with a wave that lasted for a week or two.

It all evens out over time.  Just do the best you can to distract, accept and show gratitude when you get some improvement no matter how small.

If you had some windows before, you will have them again.

Hi, thanks for responding..... no windows as yet but I am hoping. I think I would feel better if I had had a window by now, that would give me an indication that I am healing!

Here's the weird thing...symptoms ARE signs of healing.  It doesn't make any sense, but "Parker" wrote a great article on that.  If I find it, I will update this post with the link

Symptoms = healing...YES but what a crummy way to know you are healing even when it doesn't feel like it.

You'll get there.  Please be patient and let time do its thing.

Hope, we’re you on Xanax? How much were you doing a day? I hope you kick this. It’s a real struggle
